Wendy stands behind the counter in awe as she looked at the $100 Dollar bill lying on the counter.

"Oh no, this can't be happening on my first day" She says to herself as she shook her head and collected the money.

She collects $80 Dollar change from the register and turns to Hailey but she is nowhere to be found.

Wendy tells one of her co workers, Maverick, as written on his name tag.

"Hey Maverick, please can you help me for a few minutes behind the register? Some customer forgot his change, I gotta run after him, great, thanks I owe you one" She says quickly already halfway towards the door.

Maverick chuckled a little and shakes his head at the unexpected behavior of the new coworker but nevertheless he goes behind the register.

Wendy is outside almost breathless from running firstly a few blocks to the left, then she ran to the right a few blocks.

But mystery man was nowhere to be found.

Ignoring the looks she received from passer-byes who saw her running like someone who had lost it. She walked back into Bontega and resumed her duties.

With the same ever friendly smile and happy mood she continued the day like nothing happened.

But deep down she couldn't wait to see the man again.

Although she has already given him a nickname.

Mystery Man.

Apart from that she remembers the cologne which he wore and how heavenly it was to her nostrils.

His jet black hair and sharp blue eyes are really hard to miss.

But why was he in a hurry?
She couldn't tell.

Wendy ends her shift happy and still full of energy which is unlikely for someone who worked for a long time.

No she did not take that extra coffee during the day to give her that needed boost.

Wendy was genuinely happy with her job.

"What got you smiling like that?" Wendy's brother Damien asks as he watches his sister from where he stood behind the kitchen counter making himself a sandwich.

Wendy's shocked as she turns around quickly to face her brother who's question had brought her back to reality.

He laughs heartily at his sister's sudden reaction.

"Don't scare me like that" She says sending glares towards Damien who raises his hands in mock surrender.

"You came in smiling to yourself like some teenage high school girl in a teenage high school romance, what's up?" Damien asks taking a bite of his sandwich as he seats on one of the stools.

"Firstly, I don't think your girlfriend would be happy to hear that, considering you're both in high school and you're more likely to break her heart" She says folding her arms across her chest.

"Ouch, you don't have to be too honest about your opinion, sheesh" he says rolling his eyes.

"But tell me tho, who's the unlucky guy?" Damien asks with a smirk.

Damien is in his final year of High school and Wendy had only a year left to finish college and considering the gap between these two they still banter and get on each other's necks.

"There's no guy and he's not unlucky" She said more to herself as she remembered the Designer suit the mystery man wore earlier in the day but Damien heard it anyways.

"That doesn't sound convincing, don't you think?" Damien asks with a knowing smirk.

"Oh shut up" she replies and picks one of the sandwiches from the plates and walks over quickly to the stairs tho Damien made no effort to go after her.

Instead he says,

"If you continue smiling like that I'm telling mom and dad you have a new crush"
