You leaving home left a hole in my heart.
You leaving home made me cry for all reasons.
You going back made my entire world go dark,
even if just for a few minutes.
I count down the days for your return.
Every time I blink, my eyes burn.
They burn with the thought of having you back.
They burn with the thought of not having you close.
Thank you, for the loving time you gifted me with.
Thank you, for the the dedication and happiness you gave me.
More than that, thank you for the heartbreak you made me endure,
for it made me sure that our love was more than pure.
One day we will reunite and I know I will not put up a fight,
I will let you hold me when you must, and in you I will bestow my trust.
Make sure you don't break it, that fine treasure I lent you,
so that when we come close to one another once more, it will be beautiful, that's for sure.
