Meet me in the rain. Together, we'll dance in the rain, splashing through the puddles. Laughing and screaming like children playing in their first rain. It won't matter if we're strangers. For at that moment, we'll be connected by our desire for momentary happiness.
Meet me again at the café downtown. No longer as strangers, ask me to have a cup of coffee with you. And when I say yes, we'll sit by the corner booth. We'll talk for hours and hours on end. We'll talk about nothing, and yet it'll be everything. Once again, we'll laugh and smile. This time, not as children, but as friends who have known each other for the entirety of our lives.
Serenade me like in the movies. Bring me my favorite flowers and make me swoon with the most overused cheesiest lines you can think of. We'll fall in love like in the books. Without realization, without caution. We'll giggle under the covers of the night as our minds flood with the thoughts of the other. Together we'll laugh, this time as friends turned to lovers.
For the rest of the world, that's where our story will end. With the satisfaction of a potential happily ever after. Or maybe with the sadness of potential heartbreak. We began like a fairytale. Who's to say we won't end in a tragedy?
