It was not everyday that my father would ask me to do something for him.

SHIORIKO: "Is sis not joining us?"

DAISUKE: "You know she has important duties as the future head of our family."

Kaoruko was always his favorite, as the heiress to the Mifune family, she had a strict schedule to maintain.

DAISUKE: "So I'm trusting you, Shioriko, to help me build a bridge with the Suzuki family."

SHIORIKO: "Why?"

DAISUKE: "Please don't be difficult. Our families have held resentment for each other since Masahiko Suzuki, Takehiko's father...killed my grandfather during World War II.
Then...everything else in between.
I am sure that we can put our differences behind us and move towards a mutual future, together."

I had never heard of this rivalry before. For a seven-year-old, it was hard to believe that anyone would hate our family.
