"shark!" i yell trying to get his attention
it was now eight o'clock at night, which was the time to feel shark his dinner. billie was currently in our at-home studio, obviously working on music. the studio was on the underground floor, so she could make as much noise as she wanted and nobody could hear anything.
i was currently in the living room, watching tv but had to give shark his dinner so i called him. he wasn't coming which concerned me because he usually runs fast as hell to come eat dinner.
"shark!" i call again a bit louder
silence.
i check the backyard, he's not there. all the rooms, not there either. maybe he went down to the studio with billie. i go to the stairs leading down to the last floor and hear a muffle of music coming from the room. i knock on the door and here a "come in" from billie.
"hi my love" she says turning her chair around to see me smiling
"hi" i walk up to her and gives her a kiss "i just came to get shark, it's his dinner time. i tried calling him but he's down here" i say
"oh yea he followed me down here and was just chillin on the couch" she said looking at him with a laugh
billie thinks for a bit chewing on her bottom lip "wanna to hear something me and finneas have been working on" she asks me
"i'd love to" i smile as she pulls me onto her lap
"alright don't say anything til it's done playing" she says
i haven't slept since sunday, midnight for me is 3:00 am for you

she clicked the pause button, looking over at me. i was streaming tears by this point.
"aw baby what's wrong" she held me closer to her
"billie that is so fucking beautiful" i say wiping my tears "everything you do is beautiful but oh my god, this is just.. i don't even know" i admit not knowing what to say. i am speechless.
"yeah well" she bit her lip nervously "it's about you" she admits looking in my eyes
i was crying again, i let out a sob pulling her into my embrace. i hugged her tightly sobbing into her shoulder. this was the most thoughtful and surreal thing that anybody has ever done for me.
i've been in bad relationships before, billie knows that and she has too. our relationship is as strong as it is because of what we've been through, and the aspects we put into our relationship. i never would have thought anyone would make a song for me.
i pull away from the hug giving her a sweet and sentimental kiss on her lips. she reciprocated it, deepening it and putting passion and endless amounts of love into it. i've never felt more loved before than i do with her.
"thank you" i say softly pulling away "you make me feel so loved"
"you deserve it, we both do" she wipes my tears "you make me feel just as loved, that's why i wrote this song" she admits smiling
i smile so big, her doing the same. her sitting in front of me, in this moment, i feel like i couldn't be with anyone other than her. she is my person, my safety blanket, my heart, my everything.
"i'm so utterly in love with you" i brush a hair out of her face staring into her eyes mesmerized
"i love you more than anything in this world" she says back lovingly
"what's the song called" i ask pressing my forehead to hers
she takes a second to smile, a mischievous smile before answering me.
"halley's comet" she smiles knowingly
my heart melted, my jaw dropped in awe. halley's comet was what i was named after because it was in the sky on a my birthday, on march 30, 2001. billie doesn't understand how much this means to me.
"billie-" i tear up "god i can't stop crying" i interrupt myself wiping my tears away
"it's okay love" she pulls my hands from my face "i know it's important to you, it's okay to be emotional" she says sincerely
"i love you so much billie" i say with a sigh as i cup her cheek with my hand
she holds my wrist gently " i love you so much halley" she smiles
