|TWENTY FOUR|

I have this sudden thought last night. What if magic exist in this world? I mean, I don't even know if what happened to me can be explained scientifically or not. My soul being inside another person's body. My counter part from another world. So what if, just what if, magic exist in here and I can find a solution to return to my own world? That would be fantastic.

As long as I still have a body to return too. Now that would be for a later part. For now, I need to confirm whether magic exist in here.

I was actually beginning to lose hope when Amira came.

"My Lady?" she called. I popped my head from the far corner of the library.

"Yes?"

"You've been here for hours. She might think of me crazy if I ask her if magic exist in this world. But then, it will also save me more time to ask her directly.

"Uhm.. I have a question.." I started.

"What is it, milady?" tanong nya na hindi ako tinatapunan ng tingin dahil abala sya sa pagset-up ng tasa at platito sa harap ko.

"Do you know what fantasy is?" I asked.

"Fan..tasy? What's that?"

Crap. She doesn't know fantasy. Does that mean magic doesn't exist in here?

"It's like.. something that cannot be explain. Something unnatural. Out of this world."

"You mean Deities?" She ashed as she continued what she was doing.

"No. That's different. Fantasy is something that doesn't exist," I sighed, realizing what I just said.

"So, what exactly is fantasy? What makes something fantasy?" She looked curious. I decided to feed her curiosity.

"Like dragons that can fly or breathe fire, fairies or something like that," I explained. Maybe she doesn't know what dragon is. "Dragons are big, scary beings with thick skin and-"

"I know what dragon is."

"Huh? You do? Oh." I suddenly feel stupid describing what dragons are.

"But dragons aren't fantasy, milady. They exist. Well, not until a hundred year ago if I'm not mistaken." She nonchalantly said. I looked at Amira. I just looked at her because the words she uttered hasn't properly digested by my brain.

"What?" I asked softly. Too afraid that I might be just hearing things.

Nagkibit balikat si Amira. "Dragons exist a hundred year ago. That's what my father told me whenever he told me bedtime stories. He said that my great grandfather used to be a guard commander and he was always one of the frontline whenever there was a dragon at the empire's border."
