I give up.

The very first thought when I opened my eyes this morning. That's my final conclusion after brainstorming for how many days and searching for information on how to stop the war or Lucille's plot.

I just can't. At hindi ko talaga alam kung papaano. I'm just a woman from another world. I didn't even create that treason plot. I'm also a victim. I just so happen to find that papers containing the assassination of the crown prince.

Yes, I'm innocent and I'm trying to live a life which is not mine. I am trying to live in this unknown world. I, too, am just trying to survive like any other.

Will He condemn me if I just turn a blind eye? I mean, seriously, what can I freaking do? Hindi ko alam kung kanino ako hihingi ng tulong.

I can't save those people dying. I can't save the crown prince. Instead of trying to save them, why not look for a way to get out of this damn body? I'd rather be a lost soul wandering around than be stuck in this body.

Yes, that's what I will do. I will leave this body and this damn world.

"Good morning, sister!"

Naputol ang pagiisip ko nung biglang dumating si Perci.

"Good morning, Perci." I greeted him back. Naupo sya sa bakanteng upuan sa harap ko at agad naman syang pinagsilbihan nila Lyra at pinaglagyan ng agahan.

Nasa garden kami ngayon at tuwing umaga ay ganito na ang set up namin ni Perci. He would always come and greet me every morning and join me for breakfast. He's not shy around me anymore and I think he's much more comfortable.

"Wala ka bang pasok ngayon?" Tanong ko. Nilunok muna nya ang kinakain nyang tinapay bago sumagot.

"Wala. The teachers in our school will have a meeting today for the upcoming anniversary of our school."

"Ahh," napatango-tango ako. "So, how's your school so far? Wala bang nangaaway sa 'yo?"

Perci shook his head. "It's so much fun now. And I've got lots of friends."

Pinanliitan ko sya ng mga mata. "Are you sure?"

"Yes!"

Napangiti ako. "That's good then," I said as I take a sip of my coffee. Masaya ako dahil wala nang nangaaway kay Perci. Wala na rin akong balita tungkol sa dalawang pamangkin ni Duke Helliot. I heard na bully pala talaga ang dalawang batang iyon sa school nila Perci. They're acting all high and mighty thinking that the Duke will back them up. Turns out na wala naman palang pakialam sa kanila si Duke Helliot.

"Are you alright, sis?" Nagaalalang tanong ni Perci.

"Yes. Bakit mo naman naitanong?"

He looked straight into my eyes as if trying to read what's inside my head. After few seconds ay bigla syang umiling at ngumiti sa akin.

"You look pretty!"

Bahagya akong natawa sa sinabi ni Perci. "What's with you all of a sudden?"

"My sister is really pretty!" Malaki ang ngiti sa kanyang labi habang sinabi iyon. Bigla na naman akong tinamaan ng konsensya. Even this innocent kid will suffer if someone finds out what Lucille did. I really need to get out of this world before any unnecessary attachments gets in my way.

"Would you like to go out today?"

Parang biglang nagningning ang mga mata ni Perci dahil sa naging tanong ko.

"Yes!"
