THE NEXT DAY WAS SPENT TREATED THE WOUNDED, which was sadly almost everyone. Angel was stuck close to Will the entire day being an emotional support nursing assistant. By that, Angel was just around for comic relief and to help make patients laugh, which worked in most cases, though Angel didn't fail to notice the way some campers glared at him spitefully, whispering under their breath thinking that Angel couldn't hear what they were saying, they were wrong. Angel realized he wasn't needed for the campers, but he was needed to help Will, so despite wanting to join Nico in hiding away from the rest of the camp, he stayed at Will's side, cheering him up and helping out when needed.
That morning, Angel's decision to leave camp alongside Nico only solidified. It was something that Angel had brought up to Nico during their time in the labyrinth, the possibility of Angel staying with him full time. It was something that Nico wanted more than anything, the selfish part of him wanting Angel all to himself, wanting all his attention and care to be focused on him and no one else. But the more rational part of him knew it was selfish to rip Angel away from the only home that he had his entire life. But Angel argued that going with him would be best for everyone, the campers included. He wanted them to feel safe at camp, and this morning just proved they'd never feel safe with someone with connections so close to Luke. So if that meant Angel had to leave his life behind and start anew with Nico by his side, he would do it in a heartbeat because as much as Angel denied it, he'd sacrifice himself again and again for the people at Camp Half-Blood, for his family.
