I've been enlightened
By the Spirit within.
Now that my heart is pure,
Clean, bright, and pristine.
No more haze clouds the eyes.
My mind is sharp and clear.
All His precepts and commands
Unto them, I shall adhere.
Then reality hits me
Like a swift bullet train.
I'm still in the den of wolves.
Here, I must not remain.
He can eat me alive.
If he wants to, he will.
Once a fire starts within,
He will bite, hunt, and kill.
Yes, the beast is asleep,
Trapped in a deep slumber.
But if he chants the forbidden spell,
I don't know if I can cumber.
Just as a newborn deer,
I easily trip and fall.
I haven't got enough strength
To stand and conquer them all.
And so, I must flee.
I must run to the far lands.
I must escape from danger
And slip away from his hands,
Because the longer I stay,
The more I bleed.
Venom floods my veins
With lust, pride, and greed.
I realised no matter
How hard I patch and mend,
There are things that can't be fixed,
And so this has got to end.

Fun Fact: I learned certain things the hard way.
Cutting ties with other people is HARD, and I speak from experience SO YOU BETTER BELIEVE ME!
HOWEVER! Do remember that growth is painful. The more you purge plants, the more they grow, right? It isn't a fun thing for them, but after getting rid of the necessary stuff in there, those green babies will GROW and become FRUITFUL!
So, dear lovelies, if you have toxic people in your life...
If you have unhealthy relationships...
If there are people holding you back...
If there are people who cheat on you, talk behind your back, treat you like crap...
I encourage you to CUT THE CORD!
Look, I'm not telling you to CUT IT OFF RIGHT THE BAT! If something goes wrong in your relationship, and it's still mendable/fixable or you can work things out, THEN DO SO! If it's worth saving THEN GO SAVE IT! But if it's not, but if you know that it's just going to cause you harm in the long run, then I suggest cutting the cord.
I know it's hard. It's not an easy task. It's a long process and it takes time. It's different for each and every person. BUT YOU NEED TO STAND UP! SAY NO! CUT THE CORD! I BELIEVE IN YOU! YOU CAN DO THIS! DO IT FOR YOURSELF! GOOOOOOOOO!
In the end, the choice is up to you, but I do hope that you all choose wisely.
