Poem #61: Letting Go = New Beginning

Looking back, I never regretted about the past
Memories with him were beautiful, we were happy
As I have expected, we were never meant to last
I have to let him go, I wish it was that easy

I wrote down all the words I want to tell
I mustered up every bit of my courage
In a click, this plan I had for years fails
Resulting to a solid, massive, irreparable damage

Maybe, I should not have started this
Maybe, I was never special in any way
Yet, I don't understand why it's him I miss
I can't confront him, I'm out of words to say

Honest yet hidden feelings written in a single letter
Were the same feelings he discarded, a letter he never read
I guess, it wasn't meant to be read by him, maybe someone better
Than the person I lack courage for, for the words unsaid

Letting go might be the best option
Realistic feelings were left unheard
However, I won't regret this decision
Let me end our chapter in peace instead

Let this be brand new beginning
From the pain and hurt of our history
Where true love will start blooming
With someone who deserves this love, a beautiful memory
