Seemed like The sun had already decided to punish Taehyung from the start. As the time went by and noon became a bit roasted with the hot weather, the former prince couldn't hold his urge to drink some water.
Jungkook had told him to sit somewhere in the middle of the ship and being the stubborn person Taehyung was, did what he was told. He was never going to beg for food or water neither he was going to work with those enemies like a mere commoner. "Hey, kid, have this" Suddenly a deep-voiced lowly spoke from the side as taehyung looked at the middle-aged man standing beside him, with an empty coconut shell filled with drinkable water. "Don't worry kid, nobody will notice. Just hurry up and drink it" the man reassured as Taehyung finally took the shell from him. He could notice that the man was holding a small doll under his pants belt and the wooden doll looked pretty old
"Is that from someone you love?" Taehyung finally asked, not being able to hide his curiosity. The handsome man chuckled with his not-so-white teeth out "yes, it's from my daughter. When I last saw her it was 3 years ago. I went away to work on the ship and became so busy that the captain wouldn't allow me to have a break. But finally this year, I'll be able to go back home to my kids"
A small wholesome smile spread across tae's face "they must have been grown-up"
"Yes, they must have. Sometimes I feel guilty about being away from them" the man sadly chuckled before looking away towards the big ocean. Taehyung didn't know why he was needed to speak to a civil commoner, most importantly an enemy, but it wasn't that bad. Even though the prince was taught to always be proud and demonstrate his status but still taehyung had a golden heart that he never really publicly exhibited.
"What do we have here?" A sudden husky laugh cut the peaceful silence making Taehyung badly flinch, causing the coconut shell to fall off his grip. The laughter suddenly stopped replaced with a low growl. Taehyung snapped his head up finding none other than Jungkook staring darkly at him
