Voltaire's POV

Kahit sobrang busy ako as a Cardiologist, I know how important it is to exercise. I do go to the gym 3x a week, I swim laps, I run.  This is my normal routine.  And to calm my busy brain, I do yoga. Medyo nahirapan ako matulog last night. My Dad, Dr. Vicente Villareal, internationally renowed cardiologist and I had a long video call yesterday. He told me that he's not getting any younger and wants to retire from being the President and CEO of Villarreal Medical Hospital.

I need to go back home sa Pilipinas to take over. My Mom's side of the family is from Spain. Apo agad. Ako kasi ang panganay and I don't see the two younger ones settling down anytime soon. I don't do girlfriends. I date around. You can say I f*ck around. But nothing serious.

Growing up, we are required to learn how to speak Spanish. I was born in the Philippines. I may have a foreign blood because of my Mom but I love the Philippines.

I had to leave and study in the States nung college. Nakakahiya naman kasi sa Dad ko. I look up to him. He's my inspiration every day. Not only he is the best doctor but a loving husband. I'm not after the worldwide recognition nor the prestige. I just want to be the best in my field. I just want to be the best Cardiologist. She doesn't mind adding more patients on her roster.

Yoga Day

Good morning! Kindly reserve a spot for me. Wag sa unahan please. I'm running late. Thanks!

Fr: Sofia
Good morning Kuya V! Full house ngayon. And no, hindi kayo meant to be na mag meet today. Hindi ko sya kasama. She'll attend sa 6pm class.

If I can do yoga everyday, I will. If my schedule permits, nag aattend ako ng classes. Why? Because it calms my nerves. It helps me think clearly. Especially before I perform a major heart surgery, kailangan na kalmado ako. And that's how I met Sofia. She's one of the yoga teachers together with Christine. Parehas silang magaling mag turo. Nagkagulatan pa nga kame when I walked in sa studio and sya pala ang instructor. We became close after that. She's like a sister I never had.

Aside from my Mom na nangungulit sa kin na lumagay na sa tahimik, si Sofia ung isa at malakas sya mang asar. She's been telling me na I have to meet her older sister. She didn't provide me any details. Hindi daw nya trabaho ibenta ung kapatid nya but it's my responsibility to get to know her sister. Maganda, long hair, sexy, mahaba ang legs, she can sing and play the piano at the same time, mana sa Mommy ko na magaling mag luto. It made me curious and I kinda want to meet her Ate but I guess it's not yet time.

"It's always an honor and a privilege to share my practice with you. Thank you for allowing me to lead you in your practice today.  Namaste." And we clapped our hands after Sofia's class. Nilapitan ko si Sofia to ask her kung gusto nya mag breakfast. I have a light schedule today sa hospital and this is one of the rarest moments na I have time for myself.
