It wasn't fun flying around like this.

Grey skin and glowing red eyes, this stupid lack of ability to speak... And this hunger for flesh.

I'm not always the smartest but I was absolutely positive that I was dead as a doornail.

Normally I would just eat any thing with a heart beat, but normally I wasn't the one with the heart beat either.

You weren't ready to become food yet but you also where curious as to why he brought you somewhere safe, instead of just eating you then and there.

"What do you want?" You asked, mostly to yourself because you knew they couldn't talk
He tilted his head and his eyes dilated at the pupils

"I your going to eat me, just do it already" you sighed crossing your legs and he tilted his head the other way

He took a step closer and you scooted back one making him stop and smirk in the slightest.

"You asshole, your not supposed to play with your food" you muttered
You knew in that moment you messed up because he flew at you full speed ending up right in your face making you eye to eye.

Fear coursed through you as he looked you down and grabbed your hand

You wanted to curl up and accept your fate but it was like he mesmerized you in his glowing red eyes, but close up behind that red was small specks of gold.

He slowly brought your hand up more and more, you thought he was going to take a bite out of your fingers so you clenched your eyes shut feeling powerless.

But shock hit you as you felt your hand pushed against a chest... A chest that had the small thump of a heart.

Your eyes shot open and you saw the bird man smile at you before tilting his head

"Heart" he whispered hoarsely

You slowly nodded in astonishment

"Yes... Heart" you whispered back

"You... Make Hawks... Alive... Make me... Live" he said hoarsely and low again

"Hawks? Is that your name... Or... Was it your hero name before the end?" You asked and he nodded

"Make... Live... Am alive ... You... Stay" he said and your eyes went wide

"I'm sorry but... I have to get home, I can't stay" you said and he halted you before you could stand

He towered over you and his stance left no room for judgment
