You sat at the diner in awkward silence as he kept his face covered by a dark black hoodie and didn't say a single word.
Neither of you where willing to break the silence until he let out a sigh
"I guess I owe an explanation" he said while his fingernails scratched at his neck.
"It would be nice yes" you replied and he laughed sarcastically
"The game operator... It works like a live voice actor and helps to pick out the best audio dialogue... But to do something live with voice acting... You need a voice actor" he said before doing jazz hands "so Surprise. I didn't see anything wrong with it... Immediate job for me, a kissy kissy game for the people who stick to fantasies... But then... They started hacking and planting bugs in the computer... And it allowed it to be a one way screen... The employers were required to do this and if we tried to leave... Well, characters would go missing" Shigaraki said and your eyes went wide
"Missing... As in-"
"Voice actors were killed... And the charachter would stay to the game but... It would be unavailable. Each character is designed off the voice actor... Each voice actor ensures that the player falls in love and when that happens their less likely to stop playing, the more often people play... The more money higher ups get"
"So wait... THIS WHOLE TIME the game creators have been practically enslaving the people they hired, and making them watch the players so they can get more money" you said slightly angry and also embarrassed recalling the number of times you had been shirtless while playing because of the summer heat
"I just said that" he spoke with his scratchy voice
" But how did they get the bug to activate the camera on my device?" you asked
"Did you read the terms and conditions before clicking accept?" He asked and you sweat dropped
"Well... I mean... Who reads those anyway" you said nervously knowing that you clicked the accept despite not knowing a sing thing about the terms and conditions

"They hide it in there and when they show the legal work to those who say they didn't agree just in case if they figured it out, that's when right somewhere in the middle of it you find the statement on, "live chat" he air quoted the last part and you seemed to understand
"But... What happens to you if they figure out" you said worriedly and he held his neck again and avoided eye contact
"They won't... I'm running away" he said and your eyes widened
"B-but..." You wanted to finish but you knew it would sound childish and stupid and above all selfish
His life was on the line how could you possibly bring up him staying behind for you.
"I want you to run away with me" he said and your eyes went wide
"But my family, and my f-freinds, I can't just-"
"Please" he said grabbing your hands and looking into your eyes
"I know I'm asking alot, or maybe too much but please... I love you... And I've seen the way your parents treat you y/n... People like that don't deserve people like you... So please, run away with me" he pleaded and you hesitated for a second
Your hands got tighter on his and you took a deep breath ready for your own answer

"Let's do it" you said and he sighed in relief
