I'm trying my best to post chapters of this story more frequently.

Brynn and I take a seat at a yellow triangular lunch table that is sat outside our school on a patio.

Thankfully it is warmer today than it has been for the last week or two.

My blue haired best friend glances down from my face towards my tray of food.

I raise an eyebrow at her.

What is she doing?

"I'm taking your chips" Brynn tells me

I do not have a chance to reject, much less react, as she reaches over and snatches the bag of chips off of the tray.

What the-

"Brynn! I actually wanted to eat those" I say as she opens the bag of chips

My best friend shrugs her shoulders.

"Too bad,"

"I'm starving and I'd rather gouge my own eyes out than eat that slimy mystery meat" she makes a disgusted facial expression

She shoves a chip into her mouth.

I roll my eyes at the over dramatic eighteen year old.

"It's not 'slimy mystery meat'," I say

"It's Salisbury steak" I state

Brynn shoves another chip into her mouth.

"What's the difference?" She asks through a mouthful of chips

I just stare at the blue haired girl.

"You don't know what 'mystery meat' is because it's a mystery, but you do know what Salisbury steak is because it's- " I try to explain to Brynn but she is the same person to cut me off

"Uhh Rosemary" she interrupts

I watch as her brown eyes glance back and forth from mine to something behind me.

The blue haired girl raises one of her hands to point at something past me.

Confused yet curious to what she is trying to tell me, I turn in my spot.

I do not get the chance to look far as my eyes land on Karl who just so happens to be standing pretty close to our table.

A sigh exits my lips at his presence.

"Let's go, Brynn,"

I waste not a second more as I stand up from the bench that I was sitting on a second ago.

"I'm sure that there are some seats inside" I say as I try my best to avoid Karl's face

I barely get the chance to walk towards the cafeteria when I feel a cold hand rest on my arm.

Physically feel myself shiver from how cold this hand is.

"Rosemary please, can we talk?" He asks

Due to his hand still resting on my arm I am unable to walk away from him.

"I don't really want to talk to you" I say

I try to yank my arm out of his only to no avail.

"Why? I apologized for what I said yesterday" he says

I turn to face him, a glare making its way onto my face.

"You said 'I'm sorry', made an excuse as to why you said what you said, then you practically implied that you want me to cheat on my girlfriend,"
