"So, it's been a week since Harper left" Brynn says as she turns the page of the fashion magazine that she is reading

I hum with acknowledgment.

"Yes, I'm aware Brynn as I was the one actually there" I tell her

Brynn does not acknowledge my statement.

"How are you feeling? Do you miss her?" She pries

I furrow my eyebrows at my blue haired best friend.

"Of course I miss her, Brynn," I say as if she asked one of the dumbest questions in the entire world

"That's like me asking you if you miss Grace or not" I state

Brynn surprises me as she lowers her magazine from in front of her face.

As my eyes meet her facial expression I soon realize that the expression is that of slight annoyance.

"Why yes, Rosemary, I do miss my girlfriend!" She hisses

I am taken aback as the blue haired girl suddenly stands up from the couch that is hidden in the corner of the library that we are currently sat on.

"Thanks for asking!"

She wastes no time as she grabs her large purse off of the floor and stomps away from me, nearly twisting her ankle in the peep-toe wedges that she is wearing.

Okay?

That was weird.

Brynn is usually never that emotional.

I wonder if something happened between her and Grace.

Who knows, maybe they broke up and I just had no clue about it.

"Is it okay if I sit here?" I hear someone ask

I turn in the direction that the voice came from only for a smile to make its way onto my face.

"Yeah," I nod my head

I continue to stare at the stranger as I move my items closer towards my body.

He looks familiar.

The longer I stare at him the more his face begins to become more and more familiar.

"Karl?" I question

The stranger smiles at me as he takes a seat beside me.

"Me Karl, you Rosemary," he teases

I roll my eyes at said joke.

There is a brief silence between the two of us.

"Was that girl who just ran off okay?" He asks

I sigh as I shake my head with disbelief.

"I don't know,"

"I think so...I hope so" I admit truthfully

I feel his eyes on me as a silence rests among us.

"I'm sure that she's fine,"

"Maybe she just needs a moment to cool down" he suggests

I nod my head.

Maybe he is right.

"Yeah, you're right" I smile

I glance up from my lap so that I am now looking at Karl's face.

As I do this I notice that he is staring rather hard at the lower portion of my face, a smile resting on his face.

I had to admit that this action makes me feel a little worried.
