Mason Mount- this just don't feel right

"i wanna change my mind cos this just don't feel right to me"

You and Mason broke up about a month ago, it was mutual, ish. Mason decided it was too much for him so instead of begging him to stay you just agreed. He is a very busy person and you hardly saw each other but you was willing to keep going, he clearly wasn't.

Mason has been struggling without you, he regrets his decision a lot and wants you back more than anything but knows he can't get you back like that.

It was a Friday night and you chose to stay in, luckily you and mason didn't "officially" live together so you still had your apartment, only round the corner from masons house.

You arrived home from work, got into some comfy clothes and opened a bottle of wine. As you walked into the lounge there was a knock at the door.

You walked over hoping it was your Amazon parcel.

"Mason?" you questioned as you opened the door to a stressed looking mason.

"Please let me come in" he said

you moved allowing him in, shutting the door behind him.

You looked at him waiting for him to speak as he walked a bit closer to you.

"i don't want us to be apart" he said

you shook your head "Mason it was your choice, don't try and make me feel bad"

"No! no not at all am i trying to do that, i just regret what i did" he said looking at you

"Look mase, you did this not me, you made the choice yourself i didn't, you can't just suddenly change your mind" you said

"but, i wanna change my mind, cos this just don't feel right to me" he said like he was on the brink of tears

you opened your arms for him to come and hug you he gladly accepted

He held you close and didn't wanna let go. You took a deep breath as you pulled away, your mind was fucked and you didn't know what to do.

"Why'd you make a decision without thinking it through first mase" you asked him

"Cos I'm a twat, I didn't think properly and I thought I was being all big and clever leaving you when in reality it's ruined me" he said

You walked over to the sofa and sat down, mason sat down next to you

He grabbed your hand interlocking it with his.

He looked you in the eyes with a sad look taking over his face.

"I'm sorry" he whispered

You gave him a small smiled and moved the floppy bit of hair covering his forehead

He closed his eyes as you touched him and his body felt like it relaxed.

"It's okay" you said

His face lit up. "Do you forgive me?" He asked hopefully

"I forgive you yes, but it's gonna take time now mase, you left me and I had to get on with life without you for a month, so we won't just fall back into it like before" you said

He nodded "I get that"

You smiled

"Do you still love me?" He asked

You laughed a little

"Mason Mount how could I ever not love you" you said smiling

He smiled and pulled you for a hug

"I'll make this all up to you I promise" he said

You pulled away to look at him "you don't have to do anything like that mase, just don't be a twat again and we are good" you smiled and he laughed

"Do you want a drink?" You getting up to go to the kitchen

He followed

"Umm I'll have a tea please" he said

"Okay" you smiled filling up the kettle and putting it on

Mason wrapped his arms round your waist "what you doing" you laughed at him

"Not waisting a single moment" he said

He turned round to look at him and placed a kiss on your lips.

You smiled as he did which he returned.

He pulled away and rested his forehead on yours.

"I love you" he said

"I love you" you said back
