Mason mount- it's not true

You was sat at home waiting for your boyfriend mason to arrive home from training, you was scrolling through your phone with some tv on in the background when you received a text from your friend.

Anna:
Hey girl, I don't want you to freak but I've just seen this online.
*it was a link to an article saying Mason Mount has been seeing his ex girlfriend secretly behind his now girlfriends back*

you:
Thank you babe I'll look into it x

Your heart dropped seeing that message, you didn't want to believe but all the articles looked so really, saying how friends in the dressing room have said he's smitten, when he goes away he goes to see her, and everything just felt so real. You didn't want to believe it but you couldn't help it.

After a few minutes of wondering what to do you decided to just get ready for bed. You was in the kitchen getting a glass of water and the front door opened

"Hey baby I'm home" mason shouted

You didn't answer

"Babe?" He questioned looking around for you until he walked into the kitchen. You pretended to be busy putting stuff away

"Oh they you are" he smiled walking over to you

You looked at him and gave a small not very proper smile

He came to hug you

"I'm going to bed" you said and pushed past him

"Oh okay, I'll be up in a minute are you alright?" He asked

"I'm fine" you said walking to your room and getting into bed. He did the same

"What's up darlin" he asked turning to look at you

"I don't know ask your ex girlfriend" you said

"Huh" mason asked genuinely confused. But you ignored him for the rest of the night.

*THE NEXT DAY*

Mason was up early as he had a game. He left you a text

You didn't respond.

You did things round the house to distract your self, every now and then checking to see what else has been written.

It still seemed pretty real.

Mason game began and you started watching it but turned it off after seeing how distraught he looked.

A while later your friends sent you a link to masons after match interview telling you to watch it. So you did.

Interviewer: "well done today mason great game and great win for Chelsea. We know you obviously was at fault for the penalty given to the opposition team today so we have got to ask about some news that's come out recently and whether that is affecting your play?

Mason: um well yeah I mean I would just like to say actually about the news that has come out that I have not cheated on my girlfriend. My managers are in contact with the news reporters as well as the other person in the stories management to get this sorted. And I know she won't be watching this but if you are babe i would never and could never do that I love you way too much and I just hope you can believe me.

Mason said looking directly in the camera

Interviewer: so has this news put a strain on your relationship

Mason: well I hope not and I'm hoping it can now be sorted I mean my girlfriend is my everything she keeps me grounded she keeps me going when times are hard and I just really love her and really need her so I'm hoping this can all be sorted.

Interviewer: okay thank you for your time mason

Mason: thank you

Tears filled your eyes when you saw that. The rumours aren't true. You believed him.

You waited for him to get home

The familiar sound of keys in the door snapped you from your thoughts.

You walked up to him he didn't notice you still he turned round after shutting the door

"Hey" he said

You walked closer to him and engulfed him in a hug, he pulled away and looked at you in the eyes deeply.

"It's not true" he whispered

"I know, I'm sorry" you whispered back giving him a kiss

"I love you" you said

"I love you more" he replied
