Dele alli- valenties surprise

*Happy Valentine's Day everyone💘*

Another year, another valentines single. It was Valentine's Day and you was yet again on your own, scrolling through instagram posts and stories of your friends all loved up, which made you feel like utter crap.

You text Dele your best friend of 7 years to see what he was up to today, you haven't seen him in a while, and he is currently talking to somebody so you assumed he was with her as he didn't reply.

So you got yourself a tub of ice cream, lit some candles and put on your favourite Netflix show ready to chill and forget about the dreaded day.

Until the door knocked.

You sighed getting up "why can't I be left alone"

The door knocked again

"IM COMING HOLD ON" you shouted as you got to the door and flung it open

"Surprise!"

And there he was, Dele, with a big bunch of roses and your favourite chocolate, standing at the door.

"What are you doing here" you said laughing

"Giving you a valentines surprise cause I knew you'd be feeling lonely" he smiled

"Wow thanks" you laughed

"I'm not wrong though am I" he said walking past you "your a little loner"

You laughed and pushed him

"Careful I'll drop your flowers" he laughed back

You started arranging them into a vase,
"I was about to sit with a tub of ice cream and watch a movie till you appeared"

"Oh I'm extremely sorry that I ruined your plans by bringing you flowers" he said sarcastically

"Should be" you said "what you been doing today anyways" you asked

"Well I woke up, realised what day it was, went back to sleep, got up again, did a workout, had some lunch, saw the text from you, went to the shop and got them, and then came here" he said smiling and opening the Maltesers he got you... "now I'm eating these"

"What happened to the girl you was seeing" you asked "and oi stop eating my Maltesers" you laughed

"Ohhh y/n today is all about love let's not talk about her" he said

"Alright" you laughed "look" you said holding up the roses all nicely set out in the vase.

"Where you gonna put them" he asked

"Hmm maybe the coffee table in the lounge" you said

"It was very sweet of you to get me these Dele" you said smiling at him. He got up to give you a hug

"You are very welcome" he said "I mean you are my Valentine after all"

You looked up at him "shut up" you laughed

"Come on my ice creams gonna melt" you said taking the roses to the lounge

Little did you know dele was being completely serious, when he woke up this morning, it's like it all suddenly clicked. You were his valentine every day, you was the person he wanted to love and be with every single day. And you always have been.

He waited back in the kitchen for a minute whilst his mind became filled with thoughts on what to do now.

"Dele?" You questioned walking back to find him "oh your there, I put my roses out come see"

He didn't say anything

"Are you okay?" You asked walking up to him

And all of a sudden he knew what he needed to do, without hesitation he grabbed your face and pulled you in for a kiss.

It lasted about 30 seconds until you pulled away.

"What was that for" you said looking up at him

"I wasn't joking, when I said your my valentine" he said

"Oh" you said back

"Took me today to realise it, but I mean it, your the one I want to love. Or should I say the one I do love, I always have" he said

You smiled at him

"Please say something cos I'm getting nervous now" he said

You gave him a little nudge

"It's always been you" you said and felt his whole body relax

You pulled him in for a kiss

"My forever valentine" you said as you pulled away

"So cheesy" he laughed kissing you again
