"Don't say that. I'm not as perfect as you think," Lisa said quietly as she picked up her cocktail glass.
"Says who? As far as I can see, you're one of a kind. You're a genius with an IQ of 130——"
"Okay, stop." Lisa quickly interrupted her before she had the chance to finish. "I swear you're going to keep bringing that up for the rest of our lives."
However, what Chaeyoung said wasn't wrong. Lisa was twenty-four, yet all her classmates were twenty-seven or twenty-eight. This was because she skipped three grades.
Besides, she was admitted into Seoul International High School, an exclusive academy for the elite, with a grade of 697.
The exam had 700 points in total. At the time, it had been quite the event and she was even featured on the newspaper.
Her stepfather was still alive back then. That night, the whole family went to celebrate at a five-star hotel to enjoy a luxurious buffet.
Now, everything was different...
If she didn't date Jungkook, she wouldn't have incurred the wrath of the Jeon Family, and her stepfather wouldn't have been killed.
Her future should have been a bright one as well. In her second year of high school, she received an acceptance letter from the top school in America, with a full scholarship.
However, she rejected several opportunities in order to be with Jungkook, yet what she had gotten in return was a death in her family and a broken home.
Right then, she heard a voice, disrupting her thought.
"Hi, Lisa, it's been a while."
She turned her head and was caught by surprise when she saw the man's face.
"Why are you here?" Lisa's attitude took on an antagonistic edge.
"You look surprised." Sehun smiled. Dressed in a white shirt and a pair of black pants, he looked graceful and sophisticated.
However, for some reason, Lisa inexplicably disliked this person. It was a feeling even stronger than what she felt towards Oh Nancy and Oh Hyunjae.
As for how they were related, it was just a hot mess...
When Lisa's mother was young, she was a barely-famous C-list actress who specialized in historical period K-dramas. Although she wasn't necessarily drop-dead gorgeous, she was pretty enough and, riding on the arrogance of youth, made some bad choices. At one point, she was one of the mistresses of Mr.Oh, the heir of the illustrious Oh Family. She thought that, once she bears him a child, she could replace his wife. What she hadn't counted on was that both she and her daughter would be kicked to the curb.
The Oh Family never acknowledged their illegitimate daughter, Lisa, either.
Oh Sehun was the current heir of the Oh Family. As an adopted child of Mr.Oh's wife, Mrs. Oh, who was also known as the tigress, Sehun had her full support. Therefore, even though he wasn't Oh family's biological child, he still enjoyed a high status within the family.
On the other hand, his siblings, Nancy and Hyunjae, were the children of Mr.Oh's favorite mistress, Kim sooyoung, and were doted upon by their father.
Back in the day, Sooyoung had enjoyed momentary fame as a celebrity. She managed to rise above all the other mistresses of Mr.Oh by taking advantage of various means and her intellect.
Right now, the Oh Family only publically acknowledged these three successors. As for Lisa, no one knew about her aside from members of the Oh Family themselves.
