As my heartbeat start to quicken, I barged into the bathroom in a panic. "C-C-CASSIUS!"
I yelled in anguish as I clutched my chest.

Realisation soon dawned on me once Cassius opened the shower curtain to look at me in confusion.

I tried to hide my flushed cheeks by quickly turning away, but it was too late. Cassius had already caught sight of my flustered appearance. I didn't have any time to react as I was pulled into the shower.

"So, you changed your mind?" Cassius asked hopefully before nuzzling his head into the back of my neck. "I knew you had feelings for me!"

Uh-no! That's not what's happening right now! As I shook my head profusely, I clenched my eyes shut as tight as possible to try and block everything out.

My previous worry about my stalker seemed inconsequential when compared to the current state of affairs. H-H-His naked body was practically pushed up against me. I could feel... e-everything.

As Cassius' hands slowly trailed down to strip me of my nightclothes, I was quick to slap his hand away. "STOP THAT!"

Breaking free from his hold, I kept my eyes shut as I concentrated on using my water magic on the shower hose. Ha, I think I'm slowly starting to get the hang of it! Even if I only managed to make the shower's water trickle instead of stopping completely, it's still valid progress. If I keep working on it, I'm sure I'll master it in no time!

"If you didn't change your mind then what is it?" Cassius asked in a disappointed voice. Oh right, back to the current situation at hand.

Ah. Now that I think about it, I can't really tell him I received a love confession. Sure, I could depend on him to protect me if the stalker tried to pull anything. But based on all of the yanderes I've come to know so far; I'm sure murder would be Cassius' go-to option. Which would be a problem because he would most certainly get expelled from the academy and even arrested!!!

Ugh, I guess I'll need to lie. "Uhh... your hair!" I started, as I hopped out of the shower. "Since you're already here, it would be the perfect opportunity for me to work on your appearance."

Cassius narrowed his eyes in confusion as he watched me rummage through the sink cabinet. "Since it's already washed, now is the perfect time to cut it!" I held up a pair of scissors before making my way out of the room.

As I prepared all of the tools, I slowly craned my head around as I heard the sound of the bathroom door opening. Let's just try to make this quick. I need to dry myself off and try to get at least two hours of sleep.

Cassius stoically made his way towards the chair in the centre of the room without a word. Did he seriously not put his clothes back on? Wearing nothing but a towel around his waist has to be intentional!

No matter, I decided to not pay any heed to his childish antics. Using the brush and scissors, I went to work on his hair without uttering a single word.

Once I made my way around from the back towards his front, I was suddenly pushed down onto his lap. What the–

"Best seat in the house, huh," Cassius said teasingly as he gave me a smirk.

This guy!!!

In the end, it's attention he's craving right now. Therefore, I'll give him no reaction and just continue as if nothing happened!

Once I was finished, I gave him a forced smile before storming into the bathroom to collect his belongings. After packing his clothes into a tight ball, I threw them at him with force.

"Alright, we're done here. It's time you head back to your own dorm, don't you think?"

Despite clearly not wanting to leave, Cassius got changed without much fuss. As I opened the door to usher him out, I grabbed his shoulder to say one last thing.

"If you don't hear from me after tomorrow, feel free to do whatever you can to find me." Cassius' face was horrified. Just as he was about to probe further, I gave him no leeway as I firmly slammed the door shut in his face.

Sure, I'd be safer if I just told him the truth, but I can't fully trust Cassius just yet. I'd rather not risk him unnecessarily escalating the situation. Who knows what might happen...?

The only good thing is that the meeting spot is in a public space. So, there should be some eyewitnesses in case things go awry.

As I approached the courtyard cautiously, the grip on my scissors tightened. If necessary, I'm willing to defend myself if things turn ugly. There's no turning back now after all...

Once I was inside, a figure emerged from the shadows. My throat went dry as soon as I saw who it was.

"Oliver?" I called out in disbelief. He sure can't take a hint. I thought he would've backed off after Cassius said we were dating.

"I'm so glad you came," Oliver said as he coyly shoved his hands into his pockets while slowly approaching me. "I take this as a good sign, yes?"

"Woah now, let's not get ahead of ourselves." I awkwardly scratched my head as I tried to make sense of everything. "You tried to break into my room last night, right?"

After swallowing a gulp, I tightened my grip on the scissors behind my back. "Which means you're the same person who stole my bag."

There was a pause. Oliver looked distressed as he struggled to come up with a response. Uuuu... this could go any way now.

"Ah, you're probably missing some important textbooks now, right?" Oliver seized my open hand as he gave me a graceful smile. "Let's head to my dorm so I can return your books!"

Hell no!!!

"I'd rather we didn't." I shook off Oliver's grip as I took a step backwards. "The only reason I came here was so I could reject you. I'm dating Cassius, remember?"

Oliver looked troubled as his eyes started to twitch madly. "I'm not here to ask you out on another date."

Oh. That's a surprise. But just as I thought it was safe to ease up, I was taken off-guard by what came next.

"I wanted to propose marriage this time."
