Dec 16th 2011:

The sound of Honking horns could be heard from the road 6 stories below the apartment. The window being open made the noise easier to hear. A phone suddenly starts to ring. A woman walks over and picks it up "Hello, Chu residence. Yes, he is here, but I'm not sure if he will be coming out anytime today. I know So-Yeon, I will try to get him to reply to you at least. It's a shame you can't come over, you might be able to talk some sense into him. Yeah, we will, Ok, bye."

Meanwhile, in a room in the corner of the apartment, a 13-year-old boy was lying on his bed, earplugs in and listening to sad music. Lorenzo was lying there, in a bad mood when all of a sudden a woman barges into his room and stands in the doorway arms folded. This was his Aunty, Myeong Mi-Kyong the wife of his uncle Chu Hyuk.

"Come now Ji-Ho, stop moping around and get out of the house for a bit"

(Chu Jin-Ho is Lorenzo's Korean name)

"Come on Aunty, why should I do that?"

"I have had 7 different calls from your friends at school asking if you are ok. You haven't been replying to them all day." "I know that today is the anniversary of your parents' deaths, but please, you need to socialise and hang around with people to make you happy on a day like this."

Lorenzo's parents. They had died the year previously in Italy. While he was busy making a gift for his parents, they went out on a date and had been attacked by anti-fans who had assaulted them, putting them in critical condition in hospital, they had died early the next day, only having enough energy to tell Lorenzo to move in with his Uncle in Korea. 3 days later his Uncle had arrived in Italy, attended their funeral with him and brought him back to Korea where he started to live with his Aunty and Uncle as his new guardians.

He had originally wanted to grow up to become a well-known singer so that he could follow in his parent's footsteps and entertain the world. It was a dream that his parents had supported wholeheartedly, and he had worked hard for it. But after going through the experience of losing his parents he had lost the will to follow through. he was now living in Korea and going to school in Seoul, however, he barely left his room if it wasn't to cook, or go to school. It wasn't that he wanted to sit around, but that he didn't know what to do with himself anymore. He had lost all motivation towards achieving his dream, but nothing but music interested him. he still maintained perfect grades at school, and was fluent in 8 languages as well as being a red belt in martial arts before giving it up. But even if he had all this knowledge, he had nowhere to apply it, he couldn't bring himself to, after all, it was his parents who had taught him and enabled him to learn all of it.

Suddenly, the sound of a closing door brought him out of his thoughts.

"Honey, Chu Jin-Ho, I'm back!"

It was Uncle Du-Ho, an ex-professional dancer and dance instructor that works at SM Entertainment. He was well-built and good-looking and was praised as one of the best dancers in the nation.

"Welcome back Honey" Aunty Mi-Kyong replies

"Do you think you can come over here and help me, we have a nephew who refuses to socialise or leave the confines of his own room." Walking over to the room, Jin-Ho could hear his uncle wondering aloud what to do about him.

Finally, he steps through the door and looks at Jin-Ho. After a couple of minutes of silence his uncle seemed to come to a decision. "honey, can you go and grab 'that'?"

"Are you sure?"

"It has to be now."

Aunty Mi-Kyong leaves the room to go and grab something and comes back about 3 minutes later. In her hand is a tablet which she hands to Jin-Ho. When he looks at the screen what he sees is a video, with an image of both of his parents sitting in front of the camera looking at him and smiling.

With a slight hesitancy, he pushes play...
