Ace's POV
Hindi ko alam kung gaano ako katagal nakatunganga lang sa mukha ni Curt habang natutulog siya.
It's just so calming and relaxing to watch her sleep peacefully. She was even snoring silently like she came from a long day.
I caught myself smiling a bit, amused to myself. Malala na yata ako. I checked the time in my phone and it was already three o'clock in the morning.
Nang may maisip at tinawagan si Tanya sa facetime. Sinagot naman niya agad.
"What? I have class, you know? And it's three in the morning there right?"
Sumandal ako nang maayos sa sofa at ngumiti nang bahagya sa kanya. Hindi pa rin makapaniwala sa sarili na ganito ang sayang nararamdaman ko kahit nandito lang naman ako sa sofa sa tapat kung saan payapang natutulog si Curt.
"I just wanted to share this, Tans. I couldn't contain this to myself."
Nakita ko ang pagkunot ng noo niya, "What's going on?"
Ipinakita ko sa kanya si Curt at mabilis din namang iniharap sa akin ang screen. I smiled widely at her. I really couldn't help it.
"OMG. What are you guys doing there? She's fast asleep, isn't she? Where are you?"
"I'm here in her condo unit. I drove them home earlier from BGC. Kasama namin yung bestfriend niya kanina kaya lang pumasok na siya sa graveyard work niya."
"So kayo lang dalawa ang nandyan ngayon? What the effin way, Ace? Why are you still there?"
"What do you really take me for? Of course, I won't do anything to her. Nagsabi ako sa bestfriend niya na mags-stay muna ako saglit. I called you up because I was feeling overwhelmed," I was smiling the entire time I said that.
Tanya's eyes widened a bit and her lips parted. She shook her head and pointed her index finger to me. "You know that you're head over heels now, Ace. Don't deny it."
I licked my lips and covered half of my face using my hand. Nahihiya ako na napangiti nang tuluyan sa sinabi niya. Tumawa siya ng malakas. I know. I know.
"What are you going to do now huh? Fuck... My class is about to start. I'll call you back!"
She cut the line. I sighed heavily and looked at Curt. Kumislot siya ng bahagya. Di nagtagal ay bumangon siya. I jumped a bit on my seat when she opened her eyes and stormed her way. Susundan ko sana siya pero narinig ko na syang nagduduwal.
"Curt? Are you okay?"
I stood and followed the sound of her vomiting. She might be in the bathroom and I was right.
Lumitaw siya pagkalipas ng ilang sandali. Nakatayo at nakakalakad na ng maayos pero halata pa rin ang pagiging tipsy sa mukha.
She directed to the kitchen. Sumunod lang ako sa kanya habang pinapanood siyang maghalungkat ng kung ano sa cupboard nila.
"Are you hungry?"
She looked at me with a straight face. "I'm hungry," she said and she continued to search in the cupboards.
"You sound okay. Are you really?"
Now I know about this talent of hers. Katulad noon sa balcony ni Anton. Nagmukha siyang hindi nakainom noon. I licked my lips.
"Jane said that there's lasagna in the fridge. Although I could cook you some soup for hangover."
Muli siyang napatingin sa akin na pawang nagtataka.
