Ace's POV
"Ace. It has been a long time."
Soleil Han greeted me with a kiss on the cheek the minute I stepped foot here in Okada Hotel.
"Soleil," I greeted her back as I took off my sunglasses and smiled at her.
Soleil is one of the daughters of Tito Frederick, a Korean-American business partner of my father in the food industry corporation. Nakabase si Soleil sa South Korea pero madalas silang pumupunta sa Amerika para makasama ang mga kamag-anak ng Daddy niya. Doon ko na siya nakilala at naging kaibigan din naman siya ni Tanya.
"I'm really glad that you visited me while I'm here in Manila," she said and smiled back at me.
Hindi maitatanggi ang Asian blood ni Soleil pagdating sa facial features niya but the height and body figure must be from her American blood. She almost has the same height as mine.
Very finesse din at elegante ang kilos niya dahil na rin sa itinuturo sa kanila simula pagkabata ng kanilang Korean Lolo at Lola. She is mostly taught about Korean old traditions that's why, I can never see her shouting profanities nor doing unlady like activities.
Unlike someone I know.
Hinayaan niya muna akong magpahinga sa suite ko kaya naman nagkaroon ako ng pagkakataon na makabawi ng tulog.
I slept late last night. Or should I say I slept for only just about three to four hours.
Hindi dumating ang bestfriend ni Curt kaya naman ipinag-check in ko muna siya sa pinakamalapit na pinakamaayos na hotel sa BGC bago ako nakauwi.
She was so drunk last night dahil na rin sa kahihiyan na pinag-isipan niya ako ng iba dahil sa mga kwento-kwentong naririnig niya raw sa mga kasamahan sa office.
I could not justify more because she even convinced herself that I liked her boyfriend for my own just because I had my most focus on him among her officemates.
Marami pa siyang sinabi na reasons niya habang umiinom dahil na rin do'n yata mas lumakas ang loob niyang kausapin ako.
I was smiling like an idiot as I recalled all her rants sa office which is surprisingly kaunti lang naman dahil masaya raw siya sa trabaho niya, reklamo sa boyfriend niya at panlalait niya sa mga nakikita niyang nagpupunta sa bar ni Anton.
I could be so sure na kapag naalala niya ang mga sinabi niya sa akin kagabi ay mahihiya siya sa mga ginawa.
Although I had seen the funny side of Curt which I found very adorable.
"So, my father mentioned that you finally went home and took over your business in the construction industry. That's very thoughtful, Ace." Soleil said while we were having dinner.
Maayos niyang hinihiwa ng maliliit ang steak na inorder. She was also eating very gracefully while catching up with me.
I smiled and wiped my mouth, "Mom requested this as Dad is taking a leave from work. I'm not really sure if this will take long though."
"Why? Is there a possibility that you will go back to Boston?"
"Yeah. If things don't go my way here in the Philippines in a year or two."
"I might see you again in the States then huh?"
My brows furrowed. She replied immediately seeing my reaction.
"I will try my luck in Cambridge by next year. I will study Medicine. I have my Dad's approval on this."
"That's great! A doctor in the near future!"
