"Nice kill, Wakatoshi-kun~" Tendou cheered after they scored and the coach of Inarizaki takes a time out.
"Is it just me or the first set is going really well?" Kawanishi Taichi, a second-year middle blocker mentioned while wiping his sweat with his towel,
Shirabu Kenjiro, the setter for Shiratorizawa, hums in agreement and added,
"That's normal for a game with Inarizaki. After all, they're known for being slow starters."
"What's this~? You know so much about Inarizaki, Kenjiro-kun" Tendou teased
"I was in the volleyball team of the Miya twins and Ojiro Aran when I was in middle school, though I moved in Miyagi during my third year" this statement from the second-year setter threw them off and looked shocked at the information
"Shirabu-san, you're from Hyogo?" Goshiki, the only first-year starter, exclaimed loudly, making Shirabu glare at him. With the bowl cut boy's question, most of the members of Inarizaki Volleyball team heard this and pinned their attention to the setter
"I can't believe all of this is happening without [Name]" Suna cackled in delight,
"Hey! Shiratorizawa's setter! You're originally from Hyogo?" Atsumu neared their bench and asked him directly,
"No, not really. We also moved to Hyogo when I was in first year. My parents move a lot for their job. Actually, why am I sharing this to you?" Shirabu muttered the last sentence, however, it didn't escape yellow-haired setter
"Then do you know a [Surname] [Name]?" With Atsumu's question, Shirabu perked up and returned his gaze to his fellow setter,
"Yes, I was friends with [Name] when I was in Hyogo," Atsumu didn't reply to him for a while, he just stared at him as if he's scrutinizing him. Shirabu just brushed it off and was about to return to the court when Atsumu yelled,
"Hey 'Samu! I found him"
"So... you two seem very close. How long have you been friends?" you asked, attempting to make a conversation. There was a moment of silence with neither any of you speaking,
"Did I read that wrong? Are you two not friends? Then... partners?" you asked hesitantly
"Geh! No, we're not! We're childhood friends!" Iwaizumi immediately reacted,
"Then... why didn't you answer? I thought I assumed wrong" Oikawa just laughed,
"I was waiting for Iwa-chan to answer, he always tell people that I'm a pain in the ass so I want to hear him say that we're friends. And he did!" he exclaimed in joy,
"What a crappy answer, Shittykawa"
"So mean, Iwa-chan!"
What a dynamic they are. You inwardly thought. Seeing as they're always bickering, you asked something that has been bothering you since the moment you stepped out of the hotel,
"Say... have you two ever been on a fight?" you asked in a low voice,
"Of course. Let me tell you, Oikawa is always a pain." Iwaizumi immediately answered,
"No~, we always fight because Iwa-chan is always angry and mean" Oikawa countered
