Chapter 3: Feeling Hallow

"I don't really like people" Yelena reminds her.

"You'll like him, hard not to" Nat shrugs even though Yelena can't see it.

"Seems like you forgot to mention a superpower he has" Yelena smirks.

"Seems like it" Nat chuckles.

"Any leads?" Yelena wonders.

"Not yet" Nat sighs. "Tony and Mays a mess. Pepper has broken down a few times, Happys been upset and I'm trying to hold it together. His friends have also been a mess from what May told me but they went to school so that's good."

"Happy? Pepper? Why is Stark a mess?" Yelena questions.

"Happy is the head of security in SI and Pepper is Tony's girlfriend and the CEO of Stark Industries. Tony loves the kid like he's his own son even though he hasn't admitted it, we all know it, it's painfully obvious" Nat exclaims.

"Hm, interesting" Yelena hums.

"Yea...I should get going to continue to help. Park the jet on the roof and I'll be there waiting" Nat sets the plan.

"Will do" Yelena replies and with that, Nat hangs up the phone with Yelena.

Yelena exits the call app and goes to the Spotify app instead.

"Time to blast some music" she mumbles with an amused smile.

Mj and Ned had walked to school together even though they didn't say much besides that none of them have no new information about Peter.

Going to school was like a nightmare as soon as they walked in because everyone was talking about Spider-Man going missing. They quickly pushed past everyone and head to their lockers which is right next to each other's with Peters locker in between.

They both look at his locker in silence before putting away and retrieving books for their classes. That's when the small tv in the hall had switched the channel to the school schedule to the school news.

"Welcome back to the Midtown High News!" Jason welcomes back.

"It had been informed by everyone that footage of Spider-Man gone missing had been sent out to the news" Betty explains.

Mj and Ned both roll their eyes. Mj even held in her death glare to the tv.

"If you haven't seen already, here is the clip which is about to roll" Jason claims right before the clip plays.

Mj and Ned both shut their lockers and turn to each other with sad glances. They didn't need to say anything in order for them both to know that they want to go to the tower and find out if they have any news.

Tony had been angry with himself ever since yesterday. He felt like it's his fault he didn't put more protected protocols into the kids suit. He should've protected the kid better. The kid that he treats like his own son but is too scared to admit it because he doesn't want to be like his own father, Howard.

He had spent hours searching and that means literally. He got no sleep, filling his body up with coffee. He had been trapped in his lab and locked everyone out...or at least tried to. Pepper told Friday to open the door and she did, that betrayer.

Pepper tried to get him to eat or sleep but he had just brushed the woman off. Nat had even tried but he basically made Dum-E and U let smoke that represented a fire extinguisher from their robot arms consume her so she had just left but not without warning him someone is coming tomorrow to help.
