DANI, Faye, Hawk, and Miguel were all sitting in a circle. Hawk and Miguel were stretching and talking while the two girls were looked at the pictures from the other night.
Faye was hysterically laughing. "Why do you look like that?"
"Because I was drunk, Faith!"
Faye continued laughing and Dani giggled along with her.
"We have to do this again soon."
Dani nodded and turned her attention over to Hawk and Miguel while Faye started watching a video of the four friends from the other night.
Things were still a little tense between Miguel and Dani considering they hadn't talked since the beach.
"So, I did a deep dive online, and you were right. Sensei is definitely Keene's father." Hawk said.
Dani's face changed. She felt like she'd been slapped in the face.
Johnny Lawrence was Robby Keene's father and she was training with the guy Robby hated so much.
"What did you just say?"
They both turned towards her.
"Shit." Hawk muttered.
Miguel sighed and closed his eyes. "You weren't supposed to hear that."
"Oh, meaning you guys were going to just know this information and never tell me?" Dani exclaimed
"What's going on?" Faye asked.
"Sensei's Robby's father." Hawk answered.
"It's not like that, Dani, I swear." Miguel promised.
"So why wasn't I supposed to hear then?" Dani asked.
"Because now isn't the right time to tell you."
"Why not?"
"Because you're still in love with him!" Miguel exclaimed.
"I never loved him! Plus, you're still in love with Sam!" Dani argued.
Miguel didn't say anything.
"That's right. Everyone's in love with Sam." Dani shook her head.
"Dani, don't be like that."
"Like what."
"Dani."
"Miguel, don't. I...I know I'll never be Sam." Dani stood up.
Miguel stood up and shook his head. "Well, I'll never be Robby."
"I don't want you to be Robby. I want you to be you."
"I don't want you to be Sam either." Miguel shook his head.
