EIGHTEEN

DANI was standing with Moon, Faye, and Bert while Demetri and Hawk played volleyball at the beach.

Dani was resting her arm on Moon's shoulder, squinting at them.

"Hey, Dani, that guys checking you out." Moon whispered.

Dani stood up straight. "What guy."

"There." Faye nodded in front of her and Dani looked over.

There guy was tall and had sandy colored hair with a pair green eyes. When he saw her look over, he flashed a smile with his perfect, white teeth.

"Watch this." Dani smirked.

"Oh I will." Faye said.

"What's she gonna do?" Moon asked.

"Something."

Dani started walking towards the guy.

"Where's she going?" Demetri asked as he wiped his face with a towel.

"To that guy over there."

Demetri huffed and shook his head.

Dani fixed the strap to her bikini top  and clicked her tongue, the guy turning around.

"Hey."

"Hi."

"What's going on?"

"Oh, nothing, my friends saw you staring at me over there, so I figured I'd come introduce myself, maybe sign an autograph." Dani joked.

The boy laughed. "You're funny."

"I know."

"Alex."

"Dani."

"Isn't that a guys name?" Alex furrowed his eyebrows.

"Can't Alex be a girl's name?" Dani raised her eyebrows.

"Fair. So, what do I have to do to get your number?" Alex asked.

"Oh, I don't know, maybe run a few laps around the beach, beat me in some volleyball, and show me your backstroke in the water." Dani suggested.

"I'm up for that challenge."

Dani smiled. "I'm joking. Phone?"

He quickly took it out, unlocked it, and handed it to her.

"Why thank you." She smiled.

Dani then added her number and gave it back to him.

"Text me so I know it's you."

"Will do."

"Bye, Alex."

"See ya, Dani."

Dani flashed him a smile and went back to her group. When she got there, she spotted Miguel.
