"what?!" they both blurted out. "What's there to question?" said coach parker. "I-, wh-, ho-,wh-'' Mel kept stuttering, no words could come out. Meanwhile Mariano on the other hand didnt hesitate "Why does she have to be my partner? Put me with Samy, put me with Malcom or Viktor. I don't know, at least Anthony but why her?! Coach, she's NEW to the team, doesn't anyone understand that?" "woah oh hold on does nobody hear this? I mean there's no more denying it but at least you could have said it to my face first" Mel crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes clearly pissed. She knew Mar didn't like her but his reaction to being partners with her was over the top. They both glared at each other, the tension definitely there. "Yo what's going on, what are you guys talking about Mar dude she's good, you guys will be great together, be glad" "glad?! Pffttt good one Samy this guys hates my guts" the coach blew the whistle "alright everyone shut up. I'm Not changing partners, you know the rules Castaño, and would everyone please get to their lines and do laps?" Mar clenched his fists and kept eyeballing Mel, never hesitating to hide the unpleasantness in his eyes. He spat on the floor while giving her one last glare then took off while everyone else followed. Mel Fumed but couldn't do anything about it so she just followed everyone else. Mar was at the front, Samy caught up to him obviously on a try to get some answers but from the looks of it he refused to talk. Next he tried Mel. He slowed down till he got to where she was and began to question. "What was all that about M?" she didn't answer at first but then she said "nothing" "Cmon im not dumb,why do you guys hate each other suddenly? I thought you and Mar were cool" she stopped running and so did Samy "he was the one-...I told you from the start-..." again she couldn't finish her sentences so she gave up and sighed "listen im sorry but not now Samy im not in the mood" and she kept running. He watched her take off and stayed there. Mike passed by him "what happened?" Samy just shrugged but kept running. 

After the laps coach called everyone to partner up with their assigned person and work on passes. Of course Mel nor Mar were in the least excited. They were the only two who didn't move. Especially Mariano, he let his macho ego get in the way. There's no way i'm going to her if she wants to come to me she will. Mel on the other hand also also refused to move; he can come if he wants im not moving. Samy noticed from a distance and tried to get them to move. He started making signs and signals at the both of them but they ignored him. Coach Parker was talking while all this happened and it seemed only Samy was paying attention to the second round of Mel's and Mar's silent war. Finally Mel gave in and furiously walked Mariano's way. "You know, you can stop being so immature now, you're supposed to be graduating this year" Mar didn't answer but shot a devious smirk her way at the small victory. "Oh please you're not cute, stop trying." a little after coach gave his final instructions and passed out balls to each set of partners. They were instructed to start with light passes on each foot to warm up both ankles. Melanie got the ball first ofc Mar made no effort to even get it no matter how much he wanted to. "You're really ruining the game for me" he mumbled under his breath "Can you talk louder? You know so people can actually hear you?" he only scoffed and stood in place. Mel rolled her eyes this is unbelievable, its torture.. She put the ball down, tapped and kicked the ball to Mariano but he didn't even flinch. Only a dark glare overcame his eyes. Mel threw her arms up in the air and complained. "This is so stupid! I know you hate me Mariano but at least try for the sake of the game!" Mariano still remained without moving a finger. "Im done im done" Mel turned around and started to walk what seemed like away from the field but before she even got a third step in Mariano kicked the ball and hit her in the back of the head. "Ow!" "What's going on?" said coach Parker, stepping up to the two. "Sorry coach, it was an accident," said Mariano. Mel in shock didn't say anything but when coach looked at her she nodded and agreed to Mariano's statement a little too fast. He left, no further caring about the situation. Mel turned to Mar who was snickering like a little kid "there nothing funny Castaño stop acting like a kid" he quickly quit his laughter "you shouldn't be here you can barely even kick the ball correctly." "oh yeah?" Mel prepped to kick the ball "what are you doing trying to hit me in the face or something? If so you're aiming wrong" She ignored his question and kicked the ball full force "nope" she said all innocent like and a second later the ball hit his crotch.. "Oof-" Mar hit the floor on his knees, his eyes slightly big and in pain. The coach came back to them "what in the world, Farruko what happened" Mel smirked but then said "sorry coach it was an accident" she looked at Mar who was now on the ground. She did feel a little bad and like she took it too far, Mariano really did seem to be in pain. He finally got up but huffed loud and hard. "You guys are supposed to be the best aimers, you Castaño what's going on with you get serious and Farruko, I have big hopes in you I was really impressed by what I saw on tryout day, show me the game you got and both of you stop playing around." with that he turned around and left. Then Samy appeared 

"what's wrong with you guys, why are y'all fighting? This is not how I planned my final season to go, you know. I wanted to you know actually enjoy playing with my two best friends.... I don't understand why y'all are acting like you hate each other." He didn't even let any of the two speak, he just turned around and left looking sad. Mels eyes followed him as he trailed off back to his own partner. "Look Mar im sorry I didn't mean to hurt you" she said "but to be fair you did start it" Mar rolled his eyes and finally stood up straight "i don't care what you have to say, like i said before you shouldn't be here" his eyes maintained that dark glare "ever since you got here you've been acting like if you were some type of stupid princess making everyone praise you , changing the way things used to be and ruining my year... Samy loves you for some reason but if you don't remember he's also my best friend. He's always been for me since day one so I'll do whatever to pay back everything he's done and if I have to deal with you then so be it. If I have to pretend to be cool with you just to make him happy, so be it . But stay away from me I don't like you and I never will." He spat on the floor like he had done earlier that day, never breaking eye contact and turned around running away from the field.
