Nigel's POV
We are boyfriends now. This is the happiest moment of my life.
He stayed in my cafe after confessing that he liked me too. He was watching me organize my cafe.
"What? Do you want a kiss?"
"No. Not today. I'll prove to you that I am not here for a kiss." He replied.
"Then stop staring at my lips."
He grabbed the box of face masks and put one on me. "It's distracting me."
I chuckled. He is always mature when he is with his siblings, but he is always a baby when he is with me. I feel old again.
Today is my soft opening, so I was busy.
"Where are you?"
I am already here in my shop with my three staff. My cafe is not that big because I am just starting. I need this cafe to be successful first. I trust my pastries, but I am not that expert in making coffee yet. I am damn nervous.
"Already coming. Mommy and daddy are here with me. Sorry for the late notification. Mom asked me earlier when will be your opening so they decided to come with me. Probably your first customers are Elites."
"Tell your mom my brother is here too."
Shit! This is it! There are already a few customers waiting outside. Riley said he would share this in his account. He is somehow influential in social media, so that's a great impact.
"Calm down, Nigel. You already have three customers, Aki, this guy beside me, and me. Chin up!" My brother has restaurant chains. He is a famous chef, and I am just a beginner patissier. I studied abroad to enhance my skills. I need to be confident.
Here they are.
I saw him removing his shades as he walks like a super hot model. His mom and dad are walking beside him.
I greeted his parents first. Aki, of course, asked for a kiss as usual.
He was not surprised when Aki said I am his boyfriend now.
"Why are you pale?" He asked while his arms are wrapped around my waist.
"I am nervous."
"Why would you be? I am here. If anyone says bad about your brownies, I will shoot them right away." He joked. He is trying to make me calm.
"Ehem." My brother faked a cough.
There is a funny story before. Aki is so scared of my brother. They would even use my brother's name to scare him when he was naughty.
"Hi!" My boyfriend faked a smile. How I love calling him boyfriend.
"We are about to start now." My brother said.
"Hi, bestie." His mom waved at my brother.
"Hi!" Nikki greeted him coldly. It's not new. My brother doesn't talk a lot, but they are close. They are really best friends. It's pretty questionable, but surprisingly they talk all the time.
"You excited, Gel?" Mommy Reese asked.
I nodded at him.
"Don't worry if someone says bad things about your cafe; Wook will silence them." He laughed.
This family loves giving a threat.
I am used to them being like this.
The ceremony started with my speech.
"We are all here today to celebrate the soft opening of my first business. I am so thankful to everyone who has been with me every step of the way. I appreciate all your help and support.
I am Nigel Serrano, owner of Serrano Cafe, and I welcome you all."
After my speech, Aki kissed me on the cheek. I don't know if it's really necessary. He said it's my reward for doing a good job.
