Valentine's Day!

Will Solace laid on his back, trying to fall asleep. He tried counting sheep, counting backwards from 100, even counting backwards sheep. Nothing.

Nico Di Angelo had no problem whatsoever. He had found a comfortable spot on his boyfriend—no— fiancé's arm. He would've been fast asleep if it weren't for Will's incessant stirring.

Will glanced at the clock on the bedside table. In neon green, it promptly read: 12:00 AM. Wednesday, February 14th.

He glanced at the man laying on him. He whispered softly, "Nico."

No response except for a soft flutter of Nico's dark eyelashes.

"Nico."

"Mm." Nico groaned, keeping his eyes closed.

"You awake?"

"Mmhm."

"It's Valentine's day."

"Is it?"

"Yeah. Happy Valentine's day."

"Back at you." Nico shifted and found another comfortable spot on Will's bicep.

Will waited for a moment, unsure of what to say. "Nico?"

"Hm?"

"Will you be my valentine?"

"Yeah."

Will smiled. "Ok. Thank you."

Nico lifted his head and opened his eyes. "Why do I feel like you have more to tell me?"

"Cuz I do." Will sighed. "But I don't want to keep you awake."

"Nope, I'm up." Nico sat himself upright in bed to prove it. "You need to talk about something, so we're gonna talk."

Will was silent for a moment. "Will you marry me?"

Nico laughed. "We're already engaged."

Will shook his head, causing his hair to make a noise against the pillow case. "No, I mean if I asked you. You were the one to propose last time."

"Why wouldn't I say yes? I proposed to you because I love you with every fiber of my being. Ti amo con tutta l'anima!" Nico kissed Will on the cheek. "Amo solo te!"

Will smiled. "Thank you."

Nico laid back down and returned to his original sleep position. "Good night. Voglio vivere la vita intera con te."

Will gently threaded his fingers through Nico's hair and played with it absentmindedly. "Night, darlin'."

A little while passed, and Will finally felt sleep start to creep up on him. One last thing...

"Nico?"

Nico responded almost immediately, not moving. "Yes?"

"I love you."

"I love you too."

The fact that I had to rewrite this chapter like three times bc I couldn't decide on a theme... I also pushed the original idea to next month so pls stay tuned for that

Yes, I'm aware that Valentine's day didn't fall on a Wednesday this year, but it felt weird writing it as a Monday.
