Chapter Eighty-Three ⚔ Pressure Test ⚔
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Aurora asked as she walked up to Leah as she and the twins walked into the station. "They kept saying something about having a really bad feeling and wanted to see you. They wouldn't settle for a phone call or video chat." Leah said as the twins hugged Aurora's legs.
Aurora sighed softly as she glanced around for a moment. "There's a girl in Stilinski's office, a Werewolf. Said a deputy shot her, unprovoked." Aurora whispered making Leah's eyes widen, "The police are on their side now?" Leah whispered and Aurora sighed. "At least some of them are. Now I need to go talk to the others, don't let them leave your sight." Aurora said and Leah nodded before Aurora crouched down and kissed the top of the twins heads before walking away.
"I'm not letting them out. We've got two bodies covered in slash marks. They confessed to killing two people." Stilinski said, "Hunters." Aurora corrected as she walked into the office and Stilinski sighed softly.
"People, Aurora. Self-defense or not, they're still here. The other guys are dead. And there's a process I have to follow." Stilinski corrected her making her raise her eyebrows, "And if those kids hadn't killed the other guys then they would be the ones dead, along with the rest of their pack." Aurora said and Stilinski must gave her a look.
"You know what's happening around here. It's not safe for them." Scott said, "This may actually be the safest place for them in Beacon Hills. At least I can protect them here." Stilinski said and Aurora squinted slightly as she tilted her head and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Would Stiles think that?" She asked and Malia nodded slightly, "Especially if one of your deputies is working for Gerard?" She asked and Stilinski shook his head. "I'm not buying that. I know these deputies like the back of my hand. I know their families, their kids, their brothers and sisters... I know who they are, and I trust them." Stilinski said as they all kinda glanced back at the Deputies through the window.
