I was walking around the town with Abuelo, we were buying food in the market. Since we're almost out of stocks.
I was in charge on buying the vegetables while Abuelo buy the rest. So i was walking around the market to buy the most fresh vegetable they have.
“how much for the carrots ma'am?” i asked pointing to the pile of carrots,
“that'll be ___,” the lady said putting some carrots on a plastic bag. “here you go, say are you new here? I haven't seen you around.” the lady asked while handing me the plastic bag.
I nod my head, “yes, i just moved here to my Abuelo just a few weeks ago.” i said grabbing the bag.
“oh? Who's your Abuelo?” she asked while giving another person some carrots.
“Abuelo Jose” i said as the lady nods.
“ah Jose, he was my old friend. Tell him hi for me will you cariño” the lady said remembering the old days.
“i will ma'am, oh uh what's your name?” i asked awkwardly.
“Martina” she said with a smile, i smiled back and waved my goodbye as she did the same.
I walked around more to see if there are any more vegetables i can buy, or maybe i could find Abuelo so we can go home together.
