we all sat in joe's living room. me wearing his new bengals hat while his head laid in my lap. i smiled down at him ever once in awhile.

i caught up with his parents and mine while he made me play with his hair. after an hour my parents left to go back home and i stayed over. his parents were very welcoming when it came to me. i loved it.

joe was on his phone typing away at something while i talked to his parents about their jobs and how excited they were for joe

suddenly my phone vibrated in the back pocket of my jeans and joe set his phone down.

i pulled my phone out to see a text from him.

you look really pretty today. you should wear white and black more often. i also love how we are accidentally matching. moral of the story, you look really cute

my face flushed as a smile appeared on my face. i looked down a joe who had a cocky smirk on his face. i just laughed quietly before turning back to his parents who were smiling at us like they did when we were teens.

"so hope, how is the whole music and modeling thing going" robin, joe's mom asked me.

"honestly amazing. music wise, i am coming out with my first single very very soon. modeling, i have been working for many different companies and it's great" i explained as joe sat up next to me

"that's amazing sweetheart. what is the song called? what's it about?" robin asked

"the song is called friend. it's umm about joe" i said laughing slightly at the end.

"i get a song woot!" joe cheered. i cringed slightly knowing the song wasn't a love song. robin and jim took notice and started laughing

"yep, definitely a love song for you joey boy" i joked and he frowned

"you bashed me in your music?" he asked and i smiled.

"happy birthday?" i said more of a question as a total joke and he started smiling

"oh my. wanna go get food? i'm starving." he asked directly to me and i nodded

we got up and i put on my black converse that i wore over to the burrow household. he slid on his shoes before taking his hat back and putting it on.

"hey i was wearing that" i said frowning as we walked out the front door and towards his car

"too bad. i have plenty of hats in my car." he claimed as he opened the car door for me.

i thanked him before getting in. he smiled at me then closed the door and getting in himself. he started the car then looked over at me as i shivered

"you cold?" he asked and i nodded. before he could say or do anything else he reached in his back seat and pulled out a purple LSU hoodie and handed it to me

"thank you" i said before slipping into it

during the drive, we caught up on what had happened in the past 3 years of our lives. i missed him to say the least. we got mcdonald's and drove around athens before stopping at our high school once it was dark

"wanna hop the fence?" i asked as he stared at the football field. he looked at me before nodding
