He's dead, thought Prince Jakeob after checking underneath the banquet table.
The poor boy had been searching for a good hour before coming to the conclusion that Prince Scottlus was not in the grand hall for the dinner party.
Jakeob glanced at his parents, who were talking to the Lupian king and queen.
Besides them, Jakob could see the two other princes of Lupia talking to high ranking nobles.
But even though Jakeob had kept his eye trained on the rest of the Lupian family for the whole time, the youngest prince was still not anywhere.
He sighed. How embarrassing, he thought, going back to his parents and telling him he failed. Failed because couldn't find one prince.
Then an idea popped into his head, and he smiled.
What if Prince Scottlus wasn't at the dinner party tonight? Maybe it hadn't been a good idea to count on his arrival, thought Jakeob, maybe the elf prince was back at his quarters?
Quickly notifying his parents that he was going to the bathroom, the second older child of the Galantis family quickly sped off in search of his target.
