*BRANDON'S POV*

What's a Espinosa and a Mendes?" I ask walking into the kitchen where Nash and Cameron are.

"What?" Nash ask's coming over to me along with Cameron

"I found Kate and-"

"You did?!" Cameron cut's me off

"Yeah but she wouldn't come down from a self in a closet in one of the bedrooms. I asked her what it would take for her to come down and she said 1 Espinosa and one Mendes. Is that some California thing?"

"No, she talking about Matt and Shawn" Nash said pulling his phone out of his pocket.

"Wait , I think I met them.." I say remembering when Shawn beat the crap out of me.

"I bet I can get Matt to come but I don't know if Shawn can. He's on tour" Cameron say's with his phone out too

" OK, I texted Matt and he said he'll be over in 10 minutes" Nash say's sliding into one of the table chairs.

"Wait, are you really making that kid come over?" I say confused

"Yeah don't you want her out of that closet?" Cameron say's with a duh voice

"she'll come out on her own eventually."

"Have you met Kate?"

"Yes I'm her brother."

"Have you spent time with Kate?" Nash but's in

"Well...Not really. But she has to eat."

"She is the most stubborn person I have ever met. Once I told her to move out of my spot on the couch and she said no" Cameron said

"So?"

"I tried to pick her up and he bit me. She sat there for 7 hours without moving." Cameron said and the door opened.It was Matt.

"Where is she" He asked

"In one of the up stairs closets. on the top shelf" I say pointing to the stair's

"Witch one?"

"umm....It's Green and white"

"my room" Nash said and Matt went up the stairs.

*MATT'S POV*

I go up the stairs and into Nash's room, I open the closet and see Kate sitting on the shelf with her head in her hands.

"Hey..." I say walking in

"Matt? Watch out." I back up and she jumps down. I thought she would be crying but she looked fine. We sit on Nash's bed and talk.

" Are you Ok?" I ask

"Why wouldn't I be" She say's cooly

"Well the thing with your mom and-" I say but am cut off by someone opening the door. Brandon.

"So you did it again? Am I next? You kill your mom then you brother and sister. someone is an attention seeker." Brandon say's leaning against the door frame. Kate jumps off the bed, but I catch her in the air.

"Matt let me go!" Kate screams struggling to get of my grip.

"No Kate, he's trying to do this to you." I say calmly, she stops fighting and put's her face into my chest.

"Oh look, There it is again. Little Kate wants everyone to feel bad for her." Brandon say's in a baby voice.

"What's your problem, bro?!" I ask

"I here Kate here, has been talking trash about her big brother. Saying she rather have this shawn kid be her brother and how she never wanted to see me again." Brandon yells

"Just leave." Kate Says quietly

"No." Brandon say's walking closer to us

"Why are you even here?" Kate ask's looking brandon in the eye

"I have to take you home." Brandon say's still getting closer

"I am home. California is home. I love it here, and I love everyone here." Kate say's standing up getting closer to him.

" Well you have to go back to reality, where not everyone falls at your feet"

"They don't. And if you make me go back, you will be falling at my feet" Kate say's cocking her head.

"Ha. not in a million years ." Brandon said stepping closer. That triggered something in Kate. She kneed him in the....well where the sun does not sing, making him fall to the ground.

"I guess a million years came faster than you thought" Kate smirked. Brandon left mumbling something under his breath. Kate came back and sat next to me. Before I could say anything I got a text

Cameron

Check Kates wrist's.

I looked down at her wrist's, I didn't see anything. Come to think of it, this is the first time I've seen Kate without a hoodie ar bracelets on. She was wearing a tee-shirt and skinny jeans.

"What are you looking at?" Kate asked pulling her wrist's away

"Umm, nothing really" I lie

"Was that Cameron that texted you?" She asked looking at the ground. I didn't answer "Was it?" she asked again

"Yeah..." I say looking down as well

"Yeah, But you can tell him I don't break promises" She said and the door opened again.

"Kate, Why was the water running when you were in the bathroom?" Cameron asked

"You were spying on us?" She said trying not to smile

"not the topic why was it?"

"Umm..." Cameron was still looking at her "Fine Well you know that kinzie girl that I met at that party on my birthday? Yeah well she gave me a cigarette and when you knocked on the door I had to put it out without it getting everywhere." She said looking at the ground again.

"Wait, what?...How many have you smoked?" I asked

"She only gave me one, so one." She said smiling It was quiet for a long time until we all busted out laughing.
