Chapter 22

Hey guys aish I didn't know what to write so this chapter is really short...

We got to the police station and the man was seated on the bench with hand cuffs he looked at me and licked his lips. The police slapped him.

" Is this the man who harassed you last night!" One tall police officer asked

" Yes "

" Can you please give a statement on how it all happened."

" May I have privacy?" I asked the officer

" Yes, gentlemen please give us space."

The other police officers and Alex left along with the man. Matthew stood there and watched me like I'm some child.

" Sir please leave"

" She is my wife I need to be by her side isn't that right babe?" Matthew said

" No I don't need you this time" I said

" Go now!" The officer said " Now tell me everything"

I told him everything as he wrote down, including the bar name. I made sure I told him Matthew isn't my husband. So that he doesn't ask for his number or question him about the incident.

After writing down the statement, everyone was called back. The police took the man inside to his own cell. There was proof he harassed me, and others so his sentence was for five years. If he behaves in prison.

Alex and Matthew came with their own cars and that meant I had to choose. I went to Alex's car and opened the passenger side and got in. I did not even look at Matthew but I could tell he was furious. I told Alex he should drive a little slow so that I try forget about last night.

" I am sorry Bella it's all my fault, I shouldn't have taken you to a bar and have you drinking. My intention was to have a great time but instead it was a flop "

" Come on... It's not you did not know that would have happened, plus I should have been responsible"

" But still..."

" Let's forget about it and move on"

Alex played some songs and I knew most of them so I sang along.
My phone ran and it was Matthew, I knew why he was calling so I did not answer. He left a few missed calls and messages. I read the messages but did not reply.

Mr Smith 🙄:Where are you?
                      : Why are you ignoring my calls and my texts?
                     : Isabella!?

" Should we go back now ?"

" Yes, thank you for saving me" I said to Alex with a smile.

" There's no need to thank me, it was a friend thing "

We both smiled and continued singing. After some time we arrived at the Theme Park hotel.
Alex dropped me off at the entrance door and went to park his car. I walked to my hotel room. I saw Emily crying, Leandro and Cassandra were seated trying to stop her from crying. She saw me and ran to hug me. She continued crying in my arms.

" What's wrong? What happened?"

" Uncle Matt shouted at her, because she asked where you were." Cassy said

" Where is he?"

" He went to look for you" Leo said

" Mommy, please don't leave me ever again. " Emily said crying

" Yes I will not. My baby , what we should do is pack up and go back home. "

We packed all our paths and whatever we bought and checked out the hotel. I told Alex that I was going back. He said he will also go and drop his rented car back to the airport. We left and got to the airport, we were lucky enough that one of the planes were heading back to Johannesburg.

We bought tickets and waited for us to be called.
When we were called we got to the plane and waited for take off.
