Chapter 34~

Samadrita came and stood silently behind Hardik, who was sitting on the bed and facing the window. He heard the tinkling of her jewellery and asked,"Rishu Arshu ka cheezein lekar gaya hain?"

"Haan! Usey dete huye jayega voh,"Samadrita replied.

Hardik sighed and said,"mujhe toh nahi bataya kab lautega. Tujhe bataya kuch?"

"Kehe raha tha ki nahi lautega ghar tab tak jab tak ek kaam pura na ho jaaye uski. Aap ne toh suna hi ki Delhi jaa raha hain voh aaj hi. Maine kaha bhi ki humare ghar pe ruk jaaye thode din, par nahi maana. Kehe raha tha ki training khatam hoteh hi wapas ayega apna voh kaam pura karne,"Samadrita said while walking further.

She went and pulled aside the curtains of the windows, and came and sat beside Hardik, who still kept on staring at the evening sky.

"Maan ko...kuch...kuch karenge toh nahi na aap?"she asked getting scared after seeing his expression less face.

Hardik nodded and said,"nahi! usne jo kiya tere liye kiya. Vaise bhi, mujhe malum hain ki tera bhai jo bhi dhamki deke gaya hain usme se ek bhi na karne wala voh Arshu ke saath. Accha hi huya, ekdin mein Baba Sa ne tujhe job karne ki permission deh di. Kar dikhaya kamaal tere bhai ne."

"Nahi voh...baat toh aapne bhi ki thi na unse, mere job ke baare mein,"Samadrita said without looking at him and he looked at her this time and asked,"who told you?"

"Rishabh!"Samadrita replied.

"This boy!"Hardik said and hit his own forehead and then added,"I am already missing him."

"You love him and Arshu a lot right?"

"Very much! Jaan hain mere."

"Arshu se baat ki aapne?"

"Hmm...call kiya tha. Kehe rahi thi ki sabne jamm ke swagaat ki uski waha,"Hardik said with a chuckle.

"Shankari Kaki uska jeena mushkil kardegi waha. Aur Daadi Sa bhi purane khayalat waali hain. Pata nahi kya hoga. Maan ne galat kadam utha liya,"Samadrita said in a tensed tone and added,"aap na gussa matt hona Maan se. Voh bhi naadaan hain na, aap usko kuch......actually sab kuch mere wajah se ho raha hain. Mujhe Delhi ruk jaana chaiye tha rent pe, Jaipur aana hi nahi chaiye tha."

"Tu aati nahi toh mera kya hota?"Hardik stated and she looked at him,"ek baat puchu?"he added.

"Haan, kya?"

"Jab maine tujhse kaha yah toh yaha ruk yah toh apne bhai ke saath chali jaa, tab tu gayi kiyu nahi uske saath? Sirf apne parivaar ke izzat ke khaatir? Sirf yeh sochke ki log baatein karenge aur taane marenge ki ladki maayka wapas agayi? Yah phir koi aur bhi baat hain?"

Samadrita looked away while replying,"koi aur baat nahi hain."

Hardik chuckled and laid his head on her shoulder while saying,"mere shirts ki buttons kiyu seel rahi thi?"

"Aise hi!....aap..Baba Sa se behes kar rahe theh thodi der pehele?"

"Nahi voh...kuch sawaalon ka jawab maang raha tha unse, bass."

Samadrita understood that he was fighting with his father because of her. She changed the topic and said,"lunch nahi kiya aaj aapne...kuch le aau?"

"Tuney bhi toh lunch nahi kiya. Apni chhor ke meri soch rahi hain? Areh kuch nahi karunga tere bhai ko. Chinta matt kar."

"Jaanti hoon! Aapka na matlab na hi hain. Aapne kaha hain kuch nahi karenge toh sachme nahi karenge."

Hardik chuckled again and looked at her and she looked further away and he held her chin and made her look at him while saying,"you have started understanding me finally. Baba Sa ne haath uthaya tujhpe aaj, yakeen nahi ho raha tha uss wakt. Kabhi socha nahi tha ki voh aisa....kher...I am sorry on his behalf."
