Vikram glanced at Maya once and then moved aside with Veer.

Vikram: sorry bro... mujhe yaad hi nahi maine iss Maya ko kab invitation bhej diya...mujhe boht dar lag raha hai...phirse agar usne koi bakhera khara kiya to? Aapko Mai keh raha thha bro ekbr list dekhlo...par aap ne meri nahi suni---

Veer: don't worry Vikram, Maya ka pala issbar Rani Veer Singh Rajawat se para hai!

Rani: (in mind): Pehle dactor saab gusse mai lag rahe thhe...ab devarjii pareshan lag rahe hai. Aur ee ladki aese tukur tukur kaahe dekh rahi hai humare dactor saab ko? Akhir chal kaa raha hai?🤔

Veer watched Kunal as he took slow steps to the right, lowered his right hand and kept it on Rani's waist (as he was about to spin her).

This was enough to trigger Veer.

Veer handed the glass to Vikram confusing both him and Maya and, straight away went up the stage.

Veer: (in a sober tone) Excuse me Kunal.

Kunal immediately moved away from Rani.

Veer looked at Rani who was already looking at him with a clueless expression.

He held her hand, brought her down the stage and, went aside with her, away from the crowd.

Once RanVeer were out of sight, Vikram came near Maya.

Vikram: aap Party Mai aayi hai, to Party enjoy kijiye aur dusro ko bhi enjoy krne dijiye.

Maya: haa to Mai knaha kisiko enjoy krne se rok rahi hoo.

Vikram: ap acchi tarah se jaanti ho ki mai aesa Kyu keh raha hoo so please.

Maya smirked and looked away.

Vikram: (in mind) iss Maya ka koi bharosa nahi.
Par Bro ke sath bhabisa hai to fikr nahi.

Rani: dactor saab ee kaaha le ke aagaye humme?
Ooha sab humara intejaar kar rahe honge na?

Asked Rani as they reached a deserted corner of the hotel, away from the function area.

Rani: aur ee aapke aankhein laal kaahe hogayi hai?
Hey Matarani, aapne itni sharab kaahe pii hai?

Veer: (keeping a finger on her lips) shh...boht sawal karti hai aap!

He removed his finger.

Veer: haa pii hai maine sharab! Aur kya karta mai.....aapne apna badla le liya...Kunal ke saath dance kiya...bura lagta hai mujhe...mujhse bardasht nahi hota jab aap kisi or ke saath hoti hai🥺

Rani: accha? Aapko bura laga? Aur aap jo humari tang kheechte rehte hai oo ka kya?🤨aur jo aap oo chudail ke saath khare thhe, oo kaun hai?🧐

Veer: kaun chudail? Accha, wo Maya?

Rani: Maya ho ya jo bhi ho...bohut chipak rahi thhi apse...sab dekh rahe thhe hum...man kar raha thha ek kheech ke---

Rani paused as Veer started laughing.

Rani: aese he he he he kaahe kar rahe hai?🤨

Veer: Aapka pati pure college ka crush thha... to sab aake chipkegi hi na😂😂

Rani: oo sab crus fus hum naahi jante ...agar koi chudail aapke aas paas bhi bhatkegi na to ooko hum crush kar denge, huh!😤

As soon as she completed her sentence, Veer grabbed her around the waist.

Veer: shaant hojaiye madam....iss dil ke doctor ka dil sirf aapke liye dhadakta hai😌ye Veer sirf apni Rani kaa hai.

Rani: hmm...aur ee Rani bhi sirf aapne dactor saab ki hai...bujhe? jyada jaliye mat😂

Veer: mmhmm...mujhe jalane ki saza to aapko mil ke rahegi😉

He said whilst moving closer to her. 
Rani closed her eyes anticipating his move.

Suddenly Rani's phone started ringing.

Rani: (on call) Hello...Preet....haan....thik hai...aate hai hum...

Veer: Kya hua ?

He asked as Rani cut the call.

Rani: oo Preet apne ghar jaa rahi hai...humse ek  baar milna chah rahi thhi...Chale?

Veer: hmm chaliye...

Ranveer met Preet and bid her goodbye.

Meanwhile, Maya handed an envelope to the bartender.

Maya: paise bhi andar hai. Kaam hojana chahiye.

Bartender: jii madam...

Maya: good.

(in mind) bohut intezaar kar liya maine...iss baar to mai tumhe pake hi rahungi Veer!

Kiara: Rani, Veer, tum dono abhi bhi ynaha ho? Mujhe laga shayad tum log ghar chale gaye honge.

Rani: naahi Kiara jii...aese ghar kaise jaa sakte hai?  kauno prablem hai kaa?

Kiara: problem to hai Rani...

Rani: kaa prablem hai Kiara jii?

Kiara looked at Vikram who nodded in assurance.

Meanwhile a waiter came to Veer and asked if he would like to have a drink. Veer nodded and picked up the glass.

Maya turned to the bartender who showed her a thumbs up.

Veer while sipping on the drink came and stood beside Rani.

Kiara: Rani...wo jo Ma---

"Hi Rani"

All of them turned to face the voice.
Yes, it was Maya.

Maya: (forwarding her hand) sorry mai tumhe itni der baad ake greet kar rahi hoo. BTW, I'm Maya. Veer ki friend.

Rani shook hands with her and said, "Namaste".

Maya: (hugging Rani) Anyways, Congratulations!
....Congratulations to you too Veer.

Maya moved towards Veer.

Rani: (in mind) humare saamne humare dactor saab ko gaale lagayegi, itni himmat?🤨 Abhi batate hai!

Rani put her foot in front of Maya causing the latter to trip.

Rani: (catching Maya) arey aram se Maya jii...aap theek to hai?

Maya: yeah.

(in mind) pata hai mujhe tumne ye jaan bujh ke kiya par iss ka hisab bhi tumhe dena padega.

Vikram: (whispering to Kiara) Bhabisa hai to baat hai!

Kiara nodded and both of them tried to suppress their smiles.

Maya excused herself.

Rani: ab kachu bata rahi thhi Kiara jii.

Kiara: haa Rani wo Mai keh rahi thhi ki ye Maya bilkul bhi sahi ladki nahi hai.

Rani: oo to iske hav-bhav se hi pata chal raha hai😒

Kiara: Psycho hai ye! College ke time se hi ye Veer ke peeche padi thhi. Veer to isse apna dost Manta thha par ye... You know Rani jab Veer aur meri shaadi fix hui thi tab isne boht bada hungama kiya thha...😤

Rani: accha? Kaa kiya thha isne?😧

"Oops I'm so sorry Veer!", said Maya as she spilled her drink on Veer's coat who was now standing a bit away from Rani and KiVi.

Veer: it's..it's ok...

He could hardly speak as his insobriety had taken over.

Maya: mai saaf kar deti hoo...

Veer: nahi...mai...karloonga...

Maya: Veer..please...chalo mai saaf kar deti hoo.

Maya put his hand on her shoulder and led him towards where the hotel rooms were.
