"Overtime?!" Simone repeated crossing her arms as she leaned against the wall of her boss's office.
"Yes Simone, overtime." Nyla nodded. "We just lost the one security guard that did all the day shifts so we're adding her time onto yours."
Simone sighed. "What happen to that security guard?"
"We caught her doing drugs in the girl's bathroom when the use of drugs on the job is forbidden." Nyla said. "She claimed...this job was 'stressful.'" She used air quotes to point out the ridiculous excuse the former security guard made.
"Nyla I can't do that, and you know why!" Simone complained as Nyla scratched her head.
Since Simone was the only one still in school, she had night shifts as a security guard at a hospital. After school she had to go straight home because at 3:40 was when Celeste and Kameron had to start their own working shifts. Kameron's shift would end at 6 giving him 30 minutes to arrive on the dot. Simone's night shift started was at 7, but her job was also 30 minutes away so Kameron had to be at home by 6:30. Celeste's job was an hour away so Kameron would always come home first.
