NOT AN UPDATE

Someone DM'd and asked me how come I can still write SungJoy fanfics even after Joy's dating news came out. Here's why:

1.  Although I am a bbyu shipper, I am more of a Melomom.  So all my story ideas begin with creating a character for Sungjae, and flows from there.  As long as I can think of new personas for him, I will try to keep on writing.

2.  My stories are initially Sungjae fanfics but it eventually turns into a bbyu fanfic because up until now, I haven't found any other female idol/actress that has a great chemistry with Sungjae except for Joy (in my opinion).  I tried writing once with Kim Yoojung as the female lead (she's my favorite), but it left me uninspired (maybe because I only ship her with Park Bogum 😝).

3.  Watching bbyu in WGM made me smile, and it still does whenever I watch their clips in YT or FB.  Their episodes gave me good feeling and I get inspired by that.

4.  I get comments and messages from people who read and liked my bbyu stories.  Some are even asking me if I have other bbyu stories to come.  That makes me want to keep on writing.

As the saying goes, nothing is written in stone.  Sungjae and Joy may have dated, is dating or will date someone else, but who knows?  Fate could offer a surprise and they could still end up being together.  I'm not being delusional nor am I giving you false hopes.  I'm just saying anything is possible.

So for the other shippers who stopped writing (or dropped mid-way) their bbyu stories, try doing it again.  Try searching inside you for the giddy feeling that you felt when watching SungJoy before.  It's okay to be disappointed, discouraged or disheartened by the dating news, but don't let go of the happy memories you made with bbyu.  A ship does not need to sail to be appreciated.  It can remain tied at the port and still be beautiful.
