"Why are we here at the event center again?"
Chaeryeong asked her best friend who's been unusually fidgety for the past few minutes ever since they arrived inside the facility.
Looking around, she noticed that there were a lot of people crowding up in front of this stage that had ten computers aligned.
"I need you here Chae!"
Ryujin linked her arm to her best friend's, clutching it tightly out of nervousness. Chaeryeong was confused, though quickly chucked it away and smiled at the girl.
"Need me for what? I have work later, I probably won't be here that long."
"I signed up for a tournament, I've been gaming my whole life and I think this is the only chance I'll get to impress her."
"Impress whom?"
Ryujin nodded her head towards the stage as her best friend followed and landed her eyes on a particular girl who's holding a cue card.
"Huh, isn't that your crush?"
"Exactly! She's the mc of the game tournament today, I want to get noticed... and this is the only thing I'm good at."
Chaeryeong snickered at her best friend's determination, she looked at her wristwatch to check the time only to see that she's already a minute late at work.
She couldn't help but jump at this and gasp.
Well, it's not like her boss will kill her for this since that girl loves her too much for that. Even so, it's still an insolent behavior, and Chaeryeong's worried about it.
Her best friend noticed this and laughed at her, she unlinked her arm and patted the girl's back.
"Late at work?"
"Yeah, sorry Ryu I should go... wish I could support you really."
"Oh don't worry, you can."
"What?"
"I called your wife, so don't worry!"
"You what now?!"
As if on timing, Yuna appeared beside her wife and clasped her hand.
Chaeryeong couldn't help but flinch and put her other hand over her chest to calm her almost panicked thoughts.
Thinking her wife's reaction was cute, Yuna giggled hugged the shorter lovingly— Of course, the passersby couldn't help but stare towards their way.
Three beauties in one corner? Ain't that too much?
"Thank you for calling me!" Yuna pulled away from the hug and smiled at her wife's best friend.
Ryujin returned the smile and gave the taller an ok sign, "Let's continue to take care of this baby yeah?"
Chaeryeong furrowed her brows, "Since when the heck are you two acquainted? Plus! I'm not a baby!"
The two girls couldn't contain themselves and laughed at the pouting girl.
"I sometimes fetch you inside the company right? Well, I often bump into her... thus resulting in this."
Ryujin explained with a shrug as Yuna nodded her head in agreement.
"Erm... I guess that's fine." Chaeryeong cleared her throat, "Anyway, aren't you going to meet up with your teammates? This looks like a 5v5 game."
"Oh shoot! I forgot."
Ryujin rapidly waved her hand as a farewell before running through the crowd towards the backstage.
Since the first game starts in the next ten minutes, Chaeryeong scratched the back of her head and suddenly remembered the conversation between her father-in-law.
So she gazed at her wife's hand, trying to grab it sincerely with affection without any act— though failed as she quickly took grasp of reality and averted her gaze.
Chaeryeong huffed and hung her head, looking down the floor with disappointment.
This should be easy for me...
And indeed it should. Normally, these things won't cause her to panic just like now... so it was certainly a weird feeling for the girl.
"How about work?" she reluctantly spoke to overshadow her thoughts.
"Work?" Yuna tilted her head in thought, "We just finished one week's worth of work yesterday! So it's good! I think..."
"Yuna... I think we'll have to work all night later."
Yuna gave in and pouted in defeat, "Okay..." she frowned.
Gazing at the girl, Chaeryeong abruptly chuckled at the cute gesture.
This was noticed by Yuna who stared at her wife with curious eyes, it was a rare sight to see the shorter looking at her "genuinely" happy.
The taller immediately felt butterflies in her stomach, the surroundings around her felt empty but light— fluffy.
Lost in her own world, Yuna didn't even realize her wife who was calling her multiple times now.
"Yuna," Chaeryeong called whilst shaking her wife's shoulder gently.
Yuna snapped back and blinked her eyes rapidly, she felt dazed as she noticed the shorter being strangely too close to her, looking at her with worried eyes.
"Are you okay?"
"...I'm fine."
Chaeryeong sighed, "That's good then... but if you feel anything unpleasant, it wouldn't hurt to rest alright?"
Yuna smiled, "I love you so much."
Chaeryeong raised her brows, "Well that's sudden."
The taller giggled before grabbing her wife's hand, then pulling her towards the food court.
"Let's eat! I'm hungry!"
Chaeryeong nodded her head in response as she paced the taller's speed to walk beside her. Yuna began to hum happily, she seemed to be in a good mood.
She was very happy in her heart.
