A week already passed and never would Chaeryeong thought that she'd get married so soon.

Well, no wedding ceremonies happened. The girl was most likely forced to sign this particular paper to confirm she and her boss' marriage.

Although she was against the idea at first, then at the same time she never cared that much ever since it was signed because of the benefits in exchange.

Of course, she already told her grandma about this. However, she hid the fact that she was forced and told the older that her boss has been her long-time secret girlfriend.

It was teeth clenching as Chaeryeong feared her grandma wouldn't believe such a half-lie.

Not to her expectations, her grandmother smiled brightly and congratulated the girl happily.

She hoped to see her wife as soon as possible.

Chaeryeong could only force a chuckle and explain that her wife's a very busy woman to the point she might not be able to visit.

"I see, that's understandable."

The moment Chaeryeong saw her grandmother's disappointment, she lowered her gaze and clenched her fist.

The old woman doesn't have any much more time left, and she seemed to look forward to seeing her granddaughter's wife.

Even though she doesn't have any feelings for the girl she married.

She's still her wife.

And one of the wishes her grandmother has was to see the person her granddaughters would end up with before leaving this painful world.

Chaeryeong forced out a smile, "Grandma... I'm so-"

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

A knock suddenly echoed around the private room, leaving both Chaeryeong and her grandmother confused.

Both didn't expect any visits today, so it was strange.

If it was a doctor or a nurse, the door could've already opened since they were welcome anytime.

Chaeryeong looked at her grandmother, the older shrugged and merely smiled at her granddaughter.

The younger couldn't help but sigh and approach the door to open it.

As soon as the door opened, a familiar bright smile shone Chaeryeong's sight, causing her to squint her eyes for a second to examine the person.

"Chaengie!~"

The voice was no doubt from her wife.

Yuna threw herself into her wife's arms that caused them both to stumble.

On the other hand, Chaeryeong was confused. She never told her wife anything about her family nor that she's visiting one of them yet.

But then again... the idea of kidnapping her that led her to this situation was easily remembered, so she quickly shook away the "whys" and focused on the situation.

The taller kissed her wife's cheek before approaching her grandmother-in-law, then bowing at her at a ninety-degree angle.

"Hello! I'm Shin Yuna, Chaengie's wife."

The old woman raised her brows, she's surprised. The disappointment that stuck on her face was immediately replaced by a soft smile.

"So... how did Chaeryeong get such a pretty young lady like you?"

Yuna turned her back to glance at her wife before casually sitting down next to her grandmother-in-law, she smiled at the older and answered without hesitation.

"I approached her first."

"Is that so?" the older grinned at her granddaughter, causing the latter to sigh and sit down on the nearby couch.

Yuna shrugged, "It was love at first talk... but I slowly fell for her personality."

Chaeryeong raised her brows at the word personality, it was strange— they just met a week ago and she's been nothing but treating her wife blandly.

Her wife quickly noticed her expression and merely chuckled.

"What are those?" the older asked.

"Hmm... I love how she's always calm in dangerous situations, how she takes care of the people she loves wholeheartedly, how she eats chocolates pleasantly... and I think she sleeps cutely!"

Sleep... cutely...?!

Chaeryeong huffed at the last sentence, she couldn't help but feel ominous about it.

How the heck would she know how she slept?

The two don't live together yet and Chaeryeong's still preparing for that once she's done telling her sister all about this, so for now she lives with her sister.

It was alarming.

Creepy.

Many possibilities lingered around the girl's thoughts; could there be cameras inside her home? Perhaps on her? Or is she being followed? Being watched?

Is that why her bedroom window was sometimes slightly opened whenever she wakes up in the morning?

No... no... could be my sister, I should ask her about this later.

Chaeryeong shuddered, shaking her head, then directed back her gaze on the two figures in front of her.

"Looks like you know her well," the older smiled at her in-law whilst patting her shoulder.

"Oh, I do."

The older placed her hand on top of her in-law's, "Then can I ask a favor?"

Yuna nodded her head.

"Chaeryeong's been living her whole life working hard for us that she never experienced a normal childhood so... When I leave this world, please take good care of her for me alright?"

Yuna smiled at the older, her eyes filled with determination.

"I'll be a good wife!"

Watching the two while seated on the couch, Chaeryeong sighed and smiled at the sight in front of her.

She has never seen her grandmother this satisfied and happy before.

Maybe it's because one of her wishes was finally granted.

Even though there were no feelings involved...

But still, she's glad that it made her happy.

Chaeryeong actually liked this side of her wife... well it was the only thing she liked.

Ending the conversation, Yuna gave the older a quick hug before moving over to her wife and wrapping her arms around the latter's neck.

She gazed at her wife lovingly, Chaeryeong wouldn't even have second thoughts on gazing back at her.

Not to return her loving look.

But to appreciate her otherworldly features.

Someone this wealthy and pretty actually liked me? She still couldn't believe it.

Maybe she would've fallen if her looks matched her personality, that she always thought.

However that's not the case for everyone, isn't it?

People usually fall in love based on looks. But their true self might be very different from how they look, like her wife.

"I love you~"

Yuna leaned her head against her wife, smiling contently.

Chaeryeong could only hum and avert her gaze, forcing out a smile in an act for her grandmother.

"I love you too..."
