When Carlos arrived at the station he headed back to meet his mentor Athena grant he had heard slot about her she was not a detective herself but she did train several detectives she was a legend

" I'm Carlos Reyes from the APD .." Carlos said checking in " Good your with me ." Athena said handing him a badge " don't you have to talk to me ?" Carlos questioned " look cowboy I may not be where your from but when it comes to be detective you never waste a second cause one second wasted is one second a chance that someone is dying ." Athena said " copy Sargent grant .." Carlos said
" Athena don't use that formal shit with me ." She laughed Carlos didn't know whether to laugh or shut his mouth

The two went to the investigating room to work on a case " your going to help me with this case and you are gonna solve it when you do you will officially be a detective ." Athena said " meet the Logan's there daughter 10 year old Paula went missing two days Ago nobody know where she went no signs of where she went missing nobody has visited the scene yet ." Athena said as Carlos read the files " saddle up cowboy ." Athena said throwing him the keys

They got to the scene the put on there gloves and headed into the scene of the house "all you ." Athena said Carlos examined the pathway no footprints not even a small boot print he looked around for items that someone could have dropped nothing they entered the house " no signs of forced entry ..." he said as he walked through the foyer " poor kid ." Carlos said looking at the family photo of the two parents holding there daughter Carlos make his way through the house heading to the little girls bedroom the normal toys,blocks , paint, the usual for little kids " Athena I got something !" Carlos said picking up a razor blade now that was unusual and just as he leaned down to grab it there was a red hair that was on the window " what we got ?" Athena said " a razor blade and a orange hair ." Carlos said " both of her parents have brown hair .." Carlos said

" do you have kids ?" Athena asked Carlos thought of his girls quickly if he looked around room " two girls Ellie and Maddy .." he said with a smile " then treat this case like it was one of them .. think like you would if it was one of yours .." she said

" don't be afraid to give orders ." Athena said " I'm not afraid ." Carlos said as they stood outside the room " we will see cowboy ." She said " alright I want all surveillance video within the last 3 days within a 100 mile radius look for anything that matches the child's description leave no footage untraced ..please .." Carlos said " the please could have been left out you know ." Athena added " I can give orders in a nice way ." Carlos said giving a smile
