I came upstairs after my shift I peaked on the girls seeing they were asleep cuddling their stuff animals before going into me and Carlos room seeing him laying on his side
"Hey .. I'm home .." I said sitting on the bed stroking him cheek
He didn't say anything he just laid there staring at the wall
"I heard what happened today... I just wanna make sure your okay after that .." I said looking down at him
"I killed a girl.." Carlos said tears rolling down his face
"You didn't mean to ." I said quietly rubbing his back as he sat up
"But I did I was holding the gun I fired the bullet ." He said resting his head on my shoulder
"They dressed her as one of the murders you couldn't tell that it was her .." I said
"I'm a cop I should know -" he cried
"Hey come here .." I said as he buried his head in my chest
"There is no way you could have known baby ." I said
"She was 16.." he mumbled
"This was a accident los .." I said rubbing his back
"Yeah a accident that cost a family there daughter.." he said
"I don't know what I would do if we lost one of the girls and now I just cost a family theirs ..." Carlos said
