George and I were on our way to visit John. He hasn't been doing well lately. We thought it would be a great idea to surprise him at home. I brought his favorite things with me also. We arrived at his house and I knocked on the door. We waited a few minutes and then he answered.

"Phillip??" He rubbed his eyes

"Hey dad..sorry to come unannounced. Were you sleeping?"

"Just waking up actually come in, come in it's cold dear."

We walked in and sat on the couch while he fetched some snacks out the kitchen. The house still looked the same and still had my dads stuff hung up around the house. I actually finished my dads rough draft of his book and now I'm actually revising it and hope to publish it by next year.

"How are you Pip?" He asked sincerely

"I mean I wanted to ask the same about you. How was the hospital visit?"

"I'm okay."

"Your hair is thinning dad..."

"I'm old Phillip, I'm 59." He chuckled softly

"Yeah but I mean.."

"Listen John..Phillip is worried. He thinks your dying." George cut in

"I'm not dying Pip. It was a regular check up.."

"Dad, I'm pregnant again." I said shyly

"Well that's exciting news honey!!"

"Dad I want you here. So whatever you have to do to get healthy do it. My kids will experience one grandparent. It's just after d-dad died." I cried

"Shhh baby it's okay." George rubbed my back

"Pippy I swear I'm not dying.."

"Then what were you doing!!" I cried

"Frances..she's sick."

"H-How??"

"Same thing her mother had.. I didn't want you to worry so I didn't tell you."

"I mean she's my sister."

"Phillip she's doing okay for right now. I was giving blood for tests."

"O-Okay just d-don't die dad okay?"

"I won't sweetie."

"I love you but we should really get going.."

"Wait are y'all really pregnant again??l

"Yes. 3 months actually. Your the first to know."

"Well I'm happy for you."

"Hoping for a boy."

"Any names?"

"Yeah actually George Jr or Jack." I smiled

"Awe that's the sweetest thing."

"We have to pick up Jamie but we'll see you soon for dinner?"

"Of course honey." He kissed my cheek lightly and hugged me

"Take care of yourself man." George added

"I will."

Soon we were leaving Johns house to pick up Jamie from Theodosias house.

Timeskip

"Was she good??"

"Mamà I'm a good kid.." she looked down

"Aj and her accidentally broke a vase but we fixed it."

"Mmmmhm go get in the car missy."

Thalía came downstairs to say hello.

"Hi Uncle Phillip."

"Hi Thalía. How are you."

"I'm good. Is Eliza with you."

"No dear she's with Andy hanging out."

"Oh okay."

"George." Theo asked

"Oh yes Theo??" He said

"You good bro??"

"Yeah just tired. Need a nap." he yawned

"It's the old age guys I'm telling ya. I'm only 37 and I be taking naps."

"We old bestie." I snickered

"Where's Sally?"

"She's out of town. Left me with Thalia and Aj."

"They're good kids. Hey we're having a family dinner with John next week feel free to join us." I smiled

"Of course."

After we talked for a while we headed home because Jamie was tired and she probably needed a nap and so did George. I got in the car and we drove home. Andy's car was in the driveway So that means they were home. We walked j to the house and they were sitting on the couch, Andrès was crying.

"Baby what happened." I rushed over to his side.

"S-Syrus he left me." He balled

"What happened Hijo." I rubbed his back

"I don't know." He cried "just leave me alone." He walked upstairs

"Eliza?"

"Well Syrus so he was dying soon so he thought it'd be a good idea to end it while he was still here." She looked down "it's still kind of fresh."

I walked up to my bedroom and crawled into bed and started shedding a few tears. I hate when my kids are upset. Then I'm upset and it hurts. It hurts so much.

"Honey?"

"I'm okay George." I sniffled

"I know it's hard baby.. he's okay and sleeping now." He kissed me

"It's just he's hurting and I know what it felt like to be hurt like that. I was hurt for years." I sobbed

"I know baby. I'm here now"

He kissed my lips and laid next to me.

"I'm here now." He whispered
