And then she woke up she sprinted upwards she looked to her right hoping it really was all just a dream and yet
He wasn't there
It was even cold to the touch
She ran out of the room and went into the triplets' bedroom seeing their new race car bed that they had just gotten
They were made and empty they hadn't been slept in
They were also gone
Everyone she loved was dead
She dropped to her knees sobbing not even caring about the stinging feeling in her knees. The pain in her knees was nothing compared to the pain of losing her husband and all five of her beautiful, sweet, innocent children
She was never a loud cry she didn't want to be one of those people but she didn't care anymore
Her life was over
She sat on the floor on her knees with her face pressed into her face sobbing loudly, so loudly that if they didn't live In the middle of anywhere someone would hear her
If SHE didn't live in the middle of anywhere
She's alone
And always will be
No matter what
There's nobody that can take away her pain anymore
All. Alone.
She was going to die alone
And then she felt something she also heard something but she couldn't make out what it was over her loud sobs
She felt someone pick her up, she didn't know who this mysterious person was. Whoever it was
They felt safe
They picked her up and wrapped her legs around their waist as she cried into their shoulder
The mysterious person brought her back into her room and sat down on the bed with her on their lap rocking her back and forth as she still sobbed into their shoulder making their shirt drenched in her tears of pain
But they didn't care, she was in pain
And a deep and large amount of pain
Nobody should have to feel the amount of pain she was feeling in the moment
"Meredith, you're okay, sh sh sh it's okay, you're okay" the mystery person whispered in her ear as she clutched onto the person for dear life

After about an hour of Meredith sobbing into the stranger's shoulder, they leaned back and just held her there on his chest
He didn't know why she was crying but he just knew that whatever it was it was bad terribly bad
He sat there wondering what on earth could have caused her so much pain all at once

About an hour and a half had passed and he was still laying there with her in his arms he had moved her so her legs were hanging off the side hoping it would be more comfortable for her
