i woke up to a extremely sore throat

i was confused at first, but then remembered

i looked over to my bedside table to see pain medication and a glass of water

i read the note beside it 'i should have let you suffer, take it before your dad finds it'

i took the pill and got out of bed to the familiar warming smell of breakfast

why didn't anyone wake me up? again

i walked down the stairs to an empty dining room

"huh, mama pap-" i shouted and my mouth was covered by cain

can he go away? i want breakfast

"listen, don't make a sound and stay still"
he grabbed me and hid behind one of our marble pillars

i bit him and he didn't even flinch

"get off of me" my words were muffled by his hands

"do you want to die?"

whoa there buddy, calm down

"no?" i just want some damn food

"stay still so you wont"

what the fuck is he going on about

"Mr. Rossi, well what a pleasure it was for you to welcome us into your lovely home" i heard nala

"maybe you shouldn't have let your guard down, Salvatore"

"we are enemies after all" Roman finished her lines

i peeped around the corner to see my mother and father tied up in chairs, with cloths stuffed in their mouths

how did they do it that fast

and how did cain know what they were going to do

no don't tell me

i tried to get out of his grasp to help my parents but he kept a steady arm around my waist

"seems like you have something to say, salvatore"
roman ripped the cloth out of his mouth

"where is my daughter" my dad yelled with tears forming in his eyes

"with cain, probably dead who knows" nala cackled like a fucking witch

"we even asked cain to earn her trust, and man he did a great job"

"you know those two have been having sex?" roman and nala laughed together

tears that i tried to hold back forced their way out of my eyes

"well, i think that is enough playtime. I would torture you but we are out of time our dear friends" roman raised the gun to my mom's head first

"see you in hell" he shot her

blood gushed from her head

it hanging low

sobs were being muffled from cain's hand, as my tears kept falling on them

he knew his parents were going to do this

and didn't warn me

he tricked me, into trust

but i promise i won't be fooled again by him

and i'll kill him before he can kill me, and i live by that

roman then raised the gun to my dad's chest

and shot him, without any last words

"that was easy" roman grabbed his wife's hand

they went upstairs seeming to check on cain

"let's go" he picked me up running to a car

"no, i'm done running away with you. You knew what they were going to do to my parents and you never told me." i wipe tears from my face

"you're a liar, you are good at it too. You didn't mean a thing you said to me, so stop acting like you did and fuck off" i ran to one of my extra cars

cain lifted me off the ground and threw me in his car putting me on child lock

"mia, i'm sorry-" he pulled off

"cut the bullshit, i'd rather have you slit my throat than listen to this sob shit"

"but don't you love me?"

hearing him use the word love felt weird

"i never loved you, it was your mission to pretend to care for me. Mission's over, so shut the fuck up and just kill me."

one of us is going to die today and i don't plan on it being me
