Indigo POV
"Hey Vel!" I announce myself as I enter the infirmary
"Indigo!" The bunny girl says as she smiles she usually isn't this smiley.
My eyes ran down her body and I saw David was sleeping on her bedside...that's why she is smiling.
"Awww, you two are soooo adorable," I say as she giggles a little
"Thanks...what brings you here?" Velvet asks
"I figured I would drop by," I say as she nods
"Thanks," Velvet says as she runs her hands through David's hair.
"I feel so warm inside despite having bruises all over me," she says looking at David.
"That's what partners are for," I say, taking a seat. Velvet turns her attention from David to me.
"I mean, Your partner is supposed to help you through the tough times right?" I say.
"I guess that's true," she says thinking.
She started to stroke David's hair again as her attention returned to him.
I felt this hollowness inside...it wasn't because I liked David or anything.
I think it's because I want something like what Velvet and David have...or even (Y/N) and Neo.
The two couples have an undying love for each other...I guess I want a piece of that.
For as long as I can remember I've always wanted someone to call my own...someone I can trust with my life.
At first, I actually liked (Y/N) a lot...but after seeing him with Neo...I just couldn't.
They are just so adorable together I didn't want to step in between them...plus I eventually lost my love for him anyway...just like all the other boys.
I've tried dating before...it never works out for me.
So many guys deceive me.
They lie just to get me to look at them...
I don't know when it happened, but I eventfully found myself starting to resent talking to boys.
I went for a couple of years avoiding every man I saw...that was until Beacon.
Me and David had spotted each other in the orientation so we were partnered up.
He treated me like a normal person...he didn't look at me differently...he didn't treat me like a princess...I liked that.
He never showed any feeling of affection toward me, but I liked that about him...he was a good friend.
And then (Y/N) and Neo came around...I slowly came out of my shell and stopped avoiding boys slowly but surely.
This wasn't all sunshine and rainbows though...other than (Y/N) and David, the rest of the guys treated me like a diamond that was gonna be sold to the highest bidder.
"Indigo?" Velvet asks as I'm brought out of thought.
"Sorry?" I ask
"I asked if you're ok," she says concerned
"Oh! I'm fine! I should be the one asking you that!" I tell her as she smiles
"Ok, just making sure. I know you're the only one sleeping in your dorm so I was worried that you felt lonely," she says as I smile
"I'm fine," I tell her as a raging storm was going on inside my heart...I am lonely.
"I'll get out of your hair, and give you two some alone time," I tell her as she smiles
"Ok, come by tomorrow!" Velvet says
"Of course I will," I tell her
I left the infirmary and started to think about what I can do with my spare time.
Classes were already done and I did all my school work in class so homework is out of the question.
"Maybe I can visit Neo and (Y/N)!" I excitedly say out loud.
I skipped toward the bullhead as I was getting ready to head to Vale.
Something caught my eye.
I tracked my instinct and investigated it.
I was surprised to see Katherine...she's still here?
After (Y/N) rushed out before Neo woke up, Katherine looked gloomy and sad.
"I'll head back to my house...it's obvious I failed," she told us before disappearing
What's she doing here at Beacon?
I couldn't help myself, I left the bullhead and started to follow her.
I made sure to keep my distance and stay hidden from her.
She walked around the campus, looking at the scenery
"She's here for the looks? I highly doubt that," I muttered as she started to move toward the tower.
I followed her up to the elevator.
I couldn't follow her into the elevator, but there's only one reason why she would be here.
"She's going to see Ozpin?" I ask myself as I rush up the stairs.
I reached the level that Ozpin's office was on and sneaked to his door.
I know this isn't very ladylike...but I eavesdropped on him.
"Kat, I'm surprised to see you," I hear Ozpin say
"Oz, what's the real reason you had them get me? I'm sure you knew it from the start that I wouldn't have been able to wake that girl up," Katherine tells him with a hint of hate in her voice.
"Yes, Yes, I must apologize for that. But I needed to preoccupy them until Kelly returned from her mission," he says
"So she's finally back...does she have anything new for us?" Katherine asks
"Yes, Salem is preparing for something...Before she could find out, Kelly had to get out there, it was getting too dangerous," he says Katherine laughs
"Just so you know you put her there and you have to be stupid if you don't recognize the similarities between her and Neo," Katherine says
"Yes, I knew that Neo was her Daughter," Ozpin says
"Then why did you send her! Do you know what that girl must have gone through without her mother!" Katherine asks raising her voice
"Yes, I'm aware. But I'm 100% sure that she was the only one who could have done this job," he says as Katherine scoffs at him
"Still," She mutters.
"Dropping that for another matter... what're your plans for (Y/N)? I know you well enough you aren't letting a powerful semblance like Mind Reading pass through your fingers," Katherine says
"Yes, the boy," Ozpin says shifting something around in his office
"I have special plans for him...In fact, I'll need your help," he says
"No, I refuse," Katherine says
"Let's not forget what you owe me," Ozpin says in a threatening voice I've never heard before...what's going on?
She sighs
"I'll take that as a yes," Ozpin says walking around his office again.
"So when?" Katherine asks
"The Ritual will be in a week," Ozpin says...the Ritual...I remember Katherine saying something like that when we met her.
"Ok...are you sure..(Y/N) he's a good kid," Katherine says
"Yes, he is...but I need it," Ozpin says as the door suddenly opens and I'm face to face with Ozpin
"Now, shall we introduce our listener?" He asks as my heart feels like it's about to explode
