(3rd person POV)

*Bang*

A rickety old wooden door flies open and reveals a disheveled-looking man who was standing at the entrance of the rundown cabin. He had bags under his eyes and his long black hair was a mess.  distress was written all over his face as he hurriedly scanned the room for the one who caused his unrest. He finds her almost immediately the person in question laying leisurely on a couch reading a book with a disinterested look.

The best way to describe her would be messy. ignoring her pale skin,  her shoulder-length black hair was all tangled, she wore a white tank-top that fit loosely around her as well as some jeans that had a few stains on them. Her pitch-black eye had a blank look about it; she wore an eyepatch hiding one of her eyes.  Behind the mess that was her clothing, however, she still gave off a certain refined beauty.

She doesn't even spare the man a glance. She knew this was coming sooner or later.

"Hello" she spoke to him, still not looking up from her book.

As a response, he dramatically walked up to her and slapped the book out of her hands. He gripped her by the collar of her shirt before bringing her up to eye level. A nasty snarl on his face he was about to yell in her face but was cut off before he got the chance.

"You're spirited today. something good happen to you?" she asked, still deadpan.

She was clearly taunting him.

He launched a punch directly to her face however she took it unflinchingly. Hell if anything his fist hurt more from hitting her than she was from getting hit.

"...you done?" she asked, almost seeming unconcerned with his outburst.

"Why? They have nothing to do with this!" he yelled.

"If it gets you to play your part properly then it's of no concern to me if they have anything to do with this or not," she responded blandly. "In the first place, it's your own fault for overestimating yourself and thinking that you could just do whatever you like even after getting involved with me. You're the one who breached our agreement first, you're lucky I didn't end up killing all of them," she spoke in a carefree tone.

He grinds his teeth together. He knew he messed up. He realized that now. But it was far too late. Now he could do nothing but listen to the woman in front of him. And pray for the safety of his remaining familia members.

He releases her from his grasp and casts his gaze downward as tears begin to fall from his face.

"..." she stared at him for a second before sighing. "If you only came here to cry I suggest you leave. Carry out what you were supposed to do properly this time. Now go." She ordered, well it felt a lot more like a suggestion, but the man had no other choice but to comply.

So he left.

She was used to this kind of reaction from arrogant gods who believed they could get away with anything without consequences. In a way, she was just teaching them how wrong they were. Teaching them that in this world they could be subject to cruelty unlike back in Tenkai.

"..."

A warm smile replaced the almost bored look he gave him once he had left.

"What a kind god. He seems to care so much about you all." She softly chuckled.

"Sure is a shame his hubris got the better of him." Despite her words, her smile didn't falter. Her eyes looked amused, taunting almost.

She turns her attention to the book that was knocked out of her hands. Her smile fades and her eyes began to swim.
